Chapter Eleven

I took a deep breath,we had just found out we were battling members of Lamia Scale.We were in the arena,facing them.I was waiting for the countdown,beside me Wendy was in a stance.She was ready,I heard the commentator begin to count down.I counted with him...two...one.Wendy and I jumped back,I lit my hands up with flames.Wendy skidded to a stop next to me,she glanced at me.Then she gave me a wink.I smirked,knowing instantly what she'd think.The discussion between us was no longer then a second."Sky dragons claw!"chanted Wendy.The magic circle below her grew.She ran forward,slashing.Then she stepped back and i came from above,I grinned as i landed.The power from my body was all in my hands,I stepped forward and kicked one in the stomach and with the other i used my leg to trip them.

The male of the team jumped up,using maker magic he turned the floor to ice.I cursed,the ice was slippery.Although,from experience of fighting with Gray and Storms magic outbursts-the ice was beginner magic and would melt under light heat.I moved my hands in a circle,summoning the spell without chanting it.Then putting them to the ground the ice turned to puddles of water.I wasn't concentrating on Wendy,but from the commentators words she was kicking ass.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!"

As i heard Wendy chant i jumped to the side,allowing the spell to hit them.The girl jumped out of the way,but the spell just grazed the boys side.I felt sweat drip down my head,we were just getting started.Then a spell was cast in my direction,I jumped out of the way at the ice spikes came towards me.I glanced over,in time to see him running at me.He went to punch me in the face,I blocked his fist with my arm.While i blocked him,i punched him from below.He crouched down slightly,then i kicked him back with a spell of fire.I noticed Wendy had been hit badly,i watched as the spell hit her stomach.I looked up at the timer,two minutes.

I ran over to Wendy's direction,dodging the spells from the guy.Then in time,before the girl could attack again while Wendy was down i arrived.I jumped over her,then in a swift move i ducked down and kicked her legs out from under her.She fell to the ground with a thud.I jumped up,sending a bullet spell towards the guy.I pulled Wendy up,her hair turned pink and wings sprouted from behind.The crowd went crazy,i watched as the girls face went a shade lighter.

Wendy grabbed my hand,i understood.I lined my body with hers,i felt the power course through my body."Unison Raid!Fire Tornado!"the spell we chanted created a huge magic circle.I watched as the tornado flew forward,then the rainbow fire that swirled around it.The crowd started cheering even louder,there was no chance they would dodge the large scale spell.Once the dust cleared,we saw they were down.They couldn't get up and the timer went off,i was panting.I walked over to the two people,pulling them up."Good match,"i said to them both.Wendy repeated my words.They nodded and walked off.

I turned to Wendy,she looked like she was going to faint.Her hair turned blue again,i walked over quickly and put my arm around her shoulders.Then i helped her walk back up to our watching area.The guild cheered,"nice one!"said Natsu.I thanked him,i was passed some water.Wendy was now struggling to walk.I was getting worried,but how was no one noticing she was about to faint?Suddenly,Wendy dropped to the floor.I caught her before she hit her head,then laid her down gently."Someone get some water!"i yelled,the guild suddenly circled around.I took my vest off,putting it under her head.

She was pale,someone passed a bottle of water.I held her hand,waiting for her to wake up."Guys give her some space for when she wakes up,"i said.A minute passed,she still wasn't waking up.Did she get hit in the head when i was busy?"Guys did anyone see if she hit her head?"I asked,everyone looked around.No one saw any?I sighed,picking her up gently.I made sure to support her head."I'm taking her to the infirmary,"i said.The guild split into two groups,i walked through.

I sighed,walking down the back of the arena.It was mostly empty.I finally came to the infirmary,i opened the door.A few nurses were watching the games through a window.They turned around,"are you here to be patched up-..."they were cut off when they saw Wendys limp body.They rushed over and helped me get her to a bed."What happened?"asked the nurse,"we got back to our guild and she passed out.She didn't hit her head but for the past few days she's been vomiting and really dizzy,i think she took a blow to the stomach,"i informed.The nurses nodded,hooking Wendy up to an IV.
