Chapter Fourteen

After two weeks of games,it was over.Team A from Fairy Tail placed first,Team B from Fairy tail placed a little lower but still came in third.Now back at home,the guild was in peace.With the money from the winnings the guild hall was getting a few upgrades.I sighed,laying on the couch.Thanks to an extreme nausea spell I was throwing up at almost everything,which didn't help considering I had a strong sense of smell.

I was alone,Romeo needing to leave to buy food.I sighed,rubbing the ache in my stomach.I was close to ending the first trimester,being now eleven weeks.Had this been a normal pregnancy,I would be at eleven weeks.Thanks to being a dragon slayer,the genetics were changed so that a baby was born quicker.My stomach had grown a noticeable amount and I felt movement every now and then.

I closed my eyes and tried to relax,hoping that the vomit waiting to come up didn't.Then the door opened,I looked up and saw Romeo grinning.I sat up and walked over to help him."I got porridge,"said Romeo.I kissed him on the cheek and went through the bags,unpacking the food."How do you feel?"asked Romeo.I sighed and shrugged my shoulders,I felt like crap but I knew that wasn't the best answer.

"I feel like throwing up and it doesn't help when she moves around."

I said,Romeo laughed."It is not a she!It is a he!"joked Romeo.I opened the fridge to pack away some vegetables,rolling my eyes."How do you know that?"I asked,raising an eyebrow at him.Romeo smirked and walked over,lifting my shirt."See I can communicate with him!Ill get him to kick!"joked Romeo.I laughed,for a few days they'd been waiting for the baby to kick-after all it had been moving around very frequently and it was really just a matter of time.Romeo stood up and shrugged.

"My little guy isn't giving me any luck!"

I laughed again,then continued to unpack food.I held a hand over my stomach,then winced."Oh my god,"I whispered,Romeo looked at me with a concerned look.I laughed,rubbing my stomach."It kicked!"I yelled,Romeo raced over and put his hand on my stomach.I felt the next kick,it was very light but the slight bumps were appearing.Romeo fist bumped the air,then kissed me."I told you my little dude is looking out for me!"said Romeo.I sighed and shook my head,then sat down as Romeo made lunch.

"So any news?"I asked,Romeo shook his head.He knew I was referring to the dark guild.While nothing had so far happened,Jellal took as many precautions as he could with a large radius around our house willing to go of if it detects a mage with dark magic.The enchantment was put down by Levy,but when it detected."They may have found a location.They sent some people to check it out.We'll find out tonight whether or not the leads went anywhere.If it is them,we'll attack tomorrow night,"said Romeo.I opened my eyes wide,jumping up.

"Seriously?That's huge!"

Romeo shook his head,"i mean maybe?I'm not getting hopes up,after all it might be misinformation!"said Romeo.I frowned,crossing my arms over my chest.He had a point,the information could have been unreliable."We'll,i really hope this will be over!"i exclaimed,running a hand through my hand.Romeo wrapped his arms around my waist,kissing my cheek."I can't wait either,it feels like its been months!"said Romeo.I nodded in agreement,leaning against his chest.I listened to his heartbeat,"are you nervous?"i asked.Romeo shook his head.

"Why would i be nervous?I'm just going into a fight,plus Jellal has his best mages coming."

I gave him a thankful smile,then he passed me a sandwich.I thanked him and bit into the sandwich,yet as i watched him make his own i could tell he was nervous.He wouldn't admit,but he was jumping at every sound.I wanted to reassure him,but how am i supposed to reassure him when i myself was just as worried?Romeo turned back around,leaning across the counter as he ate.

"We should go to the guild,maybe Jellal will call Erza to tell us."

Like Romeo had wanted,we were waiting at the guild.I was sitting with Lucy and Natsu,Romeo was tapping his leg nervously.The tension was thick as we waited,although we tried keeping our minds off it by having a conversation."I don't want to leave the kids home if you leave tomorrow night,since we'll be waiting at the guild.Erza will be okay with it won't she?"asked Lucy,looking at Natsu.Natsu nodded,then shrugged."She doesn't have a choice,she's leaving Reiki and Rosemary here,"said Natsu.Lucy smiled,then looked at Romeo and I.

"Speaking of children,how's yours?"

I smiled,"she kicked for the first time this morning,"i said.Lucy gasped and gave me a reassuring grin.I laughed,i noticed the mood had lifted,then Natsu looked at me."It's a girl?"asked Natsu.I glanced up at Romeo,trying to hold back the laughter.Romeo shook his head,admitting defeat."Wendy and I are keeping it a surprise,she bets it'll be a girl and i say a boy,"said Romeo.Lucy giggled,finding it a funny situation.Natsu high fived Romeo.

"I agree!Gotta be a boy,it's always is a boy!"

I laughed,shaking my head."Who in this guild had a boy before a girl besides you two?I know Mira didn't!"i teased,Natsu raises his eyebrow.He stood up and looked around the guild,pointing out a few people."I see,Erza,Juvia,Levy,Macao.Do i need to keep going?"asked Natsu.I laughed and shook my head,he plopped back down in my seat.Despite their compelling evidence,i stood my ground.

Then,Jellal stood before us.I looked up,under the table i was gripping onto Romeo's hand so tightly that my knuckles were turning white.Jellal nodded,"it was them.We're watching them and getting hourly updates,we leave tomorrow at twelve.Get some rest,we'll see you then,"said Jellal.Without any other words he left,I looked across the table as Lucy looked down at the floor.She was worried for Natsu,just like i was for Romeo.Over the past few days the situation had changed dramatically,they were very powerful and had taken over a full island for a week.They also had a long range of magic,meaning they'd be hard to beat.

Natsu rubbed Lucy's shoulder,kissing her hair.I leaned against Romeo,sighing.Natsu stood up,"we should get home.I'm gonna try get as much sleep as possible,"said Natsu.Romeo nodded in agreement,he stood up as well.I followed him,hugged Natsu and Lucy goodbye and we were on our way.It was a short walk home but it was a silent.I unlocked the door and walked in,Romeo closed it behind me.I turned around and looked up at him,he sighed and opened his arms for me.I collapsed into them.

"I'm assuming your scared."

I nodded,Romeo pulled back."I'll be fine.Tomorrow when we come back i will be there,i promise you.I might be hurt,but i'll be fine"said Romeo.I nodded,his calm voice reassured me.I made him pinky promise.Romeo leaned down and kissed me,I closed my eyes and moved closer.The warmth from his body spread to mine.Romeo grabbed my waist and pulled me closer,i threaded my fingers through his hair.Then Romeo tugged at my legs,I jumped up and wrapped my legs around his torso.Romeo walked over and placed me down,i smirked through the kiss.I put my hand back,stabilising myself.Romeo continued kissing me,slowly putting his lips down my neck.He certainly knew how to ease the nerves.I looked at where he put me down.I laughed and shook my head.

"We aren't doing this on a table."

Romeo laughed,then he pulled me closer to his waist."We live alone,we can do it wherever,"commented Romeo.I slapped his arm playfully,then he pulled me into his arms and picked me up."You pick me up like i weigh nothing,"i commented.Romeo chuckled,then walked up the stairs.I smiled,gently nibbling on the bottom of my lip.Then Romeo pushed his door open,putting me on his bed.I watched as he pulled off his shirt,revealing his toned abs underneath.Romeo jumped on top of me,a playful grin on his face.I giggled,then cupped his face with my hands.I pulled his lips to mine,Romeos hand tugged at my dress.I pulled back and let the strings around my neck fall loose.I pulled it over my head,Romeo kissed further down my neck.I closed my eyes,letting the pleasure overwhelm me.
