Chapter Twelve

I stood up out of the bath,finally able to move around.It had been three days since the incident,i was cleared and deemed fit to play-although if it was too risky i shouldn't. We were currently getting ready for the queens ball,something she threw every year during the grand magic games.I grabbed onto the vanity as i stepped out of the bath.The door was slightly open,then Romeo turned around."Hey!I said tell me if you're going to get out!"scolded Romeo,I rolled my eyes and grabbed a towel,wrapping it around myself.Romeo walked over to me."Don't roll your eyes!I'm just tryna help!"said Romeo,I gave him a  kiss on the cheek.

"Yes i know but i'm fine now.If there was anymore issues,i wouldn't be walking.I know you care and your worried but you can't carry me everywhere!"

Romeo raised an eyebrow,"don't..."i said,putting a hand out.Romeo jumped under my arm and scooped me up.I laughed,he carried me out of the bathroom,then put me on the bed.He went to my bag,grabbing the neatly folded dress and high heels.He passed them over,"how about a bra as well?"I asked cheekily.Romeo smirked,leaning down he kissed my neck.His lips followed down to my shoulder.I pushed him off.

"I'm pregnant,and we have an hour to get ready."

"I can definitely do it in under an hour and if i have to wait over nine months i'll go insane."

I laughed,then Romeo grabbed me the matching under clothes for the dress.I put the underwear and bra on,then grabbed my dress.I stepped into the dress,then pulled it up my body.It was a baby blue v-neck.Silver flowers decorated around the bottom,it was between a ball gown and a slim fitting dress.I sighed,unable to do the zipper."Hey can you zip the dress up?"i asked.I heard his foot steps come towards me.Then,his hand slipped on my waist.The other pulled the dress together.Romeo pulled it up,then leaned down and kissed my cheek.

"You look beautiful."

I smiled and turned around,then Romeo looked me up and down."You're absolutely stunning,"said Romeo.I looked him up and down,classically wearing maroon.I giggled,kissing his lips."You know i hate black,navy blue doesn't suit me and i personally don't care," said Romeo.I laughed,fixing up the tie around his neck."I know,you look very handsome.But why don't you care?"i asked.I finished tying Romeos tie,then he lifted me up again.I giggled as he threw me up into his arms.

"Because im taking this off as soon as we get back.Dress and all."

I sucked in a breath as we entered the ball room.It was wide,the pillars were white and the ceiling was glass,so you could see the stars.Tables were set from the entrance and beyond.There was a large space that was kept clear for dancing though.Above us,the guilds symbols hung in banners from the roof.I followed Romeo over to a table,needing to sit down from dizziness.Romeo smiled,rubbing my shoulder as i sipped water.I waited for the dizziness to pass,then i tugged on Romeo.

"Is it bad i don't want to wear these heals already?"

Romeo looked at me,shaking his head while laughing."They don't look comfortable,"replied Romeo.I agreed,then as everyone settled in Natsu and Lucy walked over,followed by their children.Lucy sat down next to me,she pulled Nashi onto her lap."How are you?"asked Lucy,i gave her a smiled.Behind me Natsu and Romeo were talking.I sighed,twirling my hair around a finger."I'm tired,what about you?"i asked.Lucy laughed,nodding her head in agreement."Excited for the night.Being pregnant is hard though,"said Lucy.I nodded,putting a hand on her leg and leaning closer.

"Romeo better only want one cause im not doing this again."

Lucy giggled,then she smoothed out Nashi's dress."It's worth it in the end.I love Igneel and Nashi,the pregnancy is the easiest part!"exclaimed Lucy.I smiled,feeling a little nervous at the thought of raising a child although i knew Romeo would be with me."Was it hard raising Igneel?When you first had him?"I asked,Lucy sighed and nodded her head.Then she looked down at he beloved daughter.She glanced back up,"it was hard,"admitted Lucy.

"But Natsu really helped.Romeo will be just fine!"

I nodded,putting a hand over my stomach."I'm just stressed,"i said.Lucy gave me a sympathetic smile,"everything was easier for us.I'm sure by the time your due this whole dark guild thing will be gone!"reassured Lucy.I agreed,hoping her words were true.How would i be able to live if i introduced the baby to a violent world?Romeo pulled out the chair next to me.A waiter walked by,asking if we wanted wine.Romeo thanked him,but said no."You can have a drink you know,"i said.Romeo shrugged,"not drinking if you aren't,"said Romeo.Did he realise it was bad to drink while pregnant?

Levy walked over,she was wearing a slim silky orange gown.As she got closer i felt more nauseous ,she smelt like citrus."You okay?"asked Romeo,i nodded and took a deep breath."Citrus is the worst trigger,"i said.Levy heard,she gave me a smile and sat on the other side of the table."I understand,don't feel bad.If anything,I'm sorry you're having a hard time!"said Levy.I thanked her,then i felt a smooth hand slide onto my thigh.

"Come on,let's go dance."

I rolled my eyes in a playful manner.Then i grabbed his hand and followed him.He lead me to a small space off the side.He put his hands around my waist.I sighed,leaning against his chest.I slowly moved with him."Thanks for getting me out of there,"i said.Romeo shrugged,telling me it was just a small thing.I smiled and for a little while we danced,then eventually someone tapped Romeos shoulder.I lifted my head up,seeing the princess.She smiled,"hello,how are we?"asked Hisui.I gave her a small smile,Romeo responded.Then she looked between us,"i hope you don't mind Wendy,can i take Romeo for a few minutes?"asked Hisui.I really couldn't oblige,so i nodded.Romeo said goodbye before being pulled away.

I frowned,she took him away suddenly and in a very rushed way.I slapped myself mentally. I walked back over to Lucy,she tilted her head."Where is Romeo?"asked Levy,whose perfume thankfully had gotten less strong.I sat down,"princess wanted to talk to him i think.He shouldn't be long!"i explained.Lucy nodded,then Nashi grabbed towards me.Lucy rolled her eyes,then looked at me.I gave her a smile,then grabbed Nashi."So why aren't you dancing?"i asked.Lucy looked at Levy,they shared a mutual glance.

"I'm way too tried.Gale was showing off and ended up using to much magic yesterday.She threw up all night!"

I laughed,giving her a sympathetic expression.Then i looked at Lucy,"Natsus catching up with some friends and well,Levy here needs company,"said Lucy.I laughed,then went to take a sip of the water on the table.I let out a sigh of relief,over the time that Romeo was gone Levy and Lucy gave me great advice-of course with the opinion of Erza who stopped by.Juvia was nowhere to be seen and we knew Mira was holidays with Laxus.Finally,i saw Romeo walk over.He had a grim expression,but then he changed his mood as the night continued.

For some reason seeing his grim expression made me think he'd heard bad news.Yet,despite asking he didn't budge.I didn't want to admit that as we were going back to our hotel,i was getting more and more worried.He stayed silent and when we did talk,he was distant.I grabbed his hand,rubbing the knuckles.He wasn't alone and could always come to me. Couldn't he?
