Chapter Twenty One

I rubbed Kasai's back again,he was coughing more now.Over the past few days he had gotten worse,his coughing so intense that his throat was raw.The guild was so loud and i knew his head was hurting,but i couldn't stay home.I looked up at Natsu,he was concentrating.Lucy looked at me,"can you help me?He's in a trance!"said Lucy.I looked at her,frowning.Then Natsu started whispering.I leaned closer,then suddenly he jumped up."Everyone!Shut up!"yelled Natsu.

I was concerned,he wasn't like that.Suddenly everyone went quiet,confused as i was.He was deep in thought.I saw his ear twitch,then i started listening.I heard a quiet buzz,then it got louder and clearer.There was screaming,yelling,explosions.I looked across to Gajeel,he heard it too.I stood up and grabbed Kasai.Swinging his weak body into mine,I looked around trying to count all the children.

"Someone's attacking Magnolia!"

I started pushing kids into the safe room,a room that couldn't be opened unless someone with Fairy Tails insignia opened it.I looked around and saw Macao,he was about to run into the fight.I grabbed his wrist,"please stay with the kids.They'll be scared,"i said.Macao looked at me,then down at his beloved grandson.He pulled Kasai off of me,putting him on his hip."I have to fight Macao,keep him safe please.I love you both so much,"i said.I hugged Macao and kissed Kasai's head.Then i pushed them into the safe room.I turned around,knowing in Macao's care the children would be safe.

I started running,following my guild.I followed the explosions,then it came into sight.From the right side of Magnolia,the mountains.I watched as hundreds of people were fighting.I sighed,knowing i couldn't let them get to the guild.I was behind everyone,since i was getting the children to safety.I felt my feet lift of the ground,i looked up and saw Carla."I came back just in time child,"commented Carla.I smiled,then as we got closer to the battle she dropped me from the skies.I smirked as i got closer to the ground,the force behind my magic gained.

Carla had dropped me into a gathering of dark guild members.I held my hands above my head as i plummeted to the ground,knowing i wouldn't be hurt from the fall."Sky Dragons Crushing Winds!"i chanted,a large magic circle above me glowed.I hit the ground,as i hit the ground i moved my hands downward.From my movement a large gust of wind pushed them back and into each other.I smirked,spinning."Sky Dragons Wing Attack!"i yelled,as i spun the circle the same people who had just been pushed back had also just been cut up.

"It's her the sky dragon maiden!"

I smirked,my hair growing down form my shoulders to my hips.As it grew it began to turn pink,wings sprouted from behind me.A man jumped forward,punching me in the nose.For a minute,the pain blinded me.I wiped the blood that dripped down my nose.Using the force of my leg i kicked out his legs from under him.I heard his head hit the ground.He was going to sleep for a little while.I looked around at the mages who were circling me."Whose next?"i asked,my hands glowing as i got ready to fight.I cracked my knuckles,the blood slowly dripping down my lip.

"Sky Dragons Fire Storm!"

I put both my arms out to the side,individual tornadoes shooting from my hands.I watched as the group got bigger,I saw Gray jump beside me."Need some help?"asked Gray,he had blood dripping from a wound in his head.I gave him a side smile,then he turned the ground to ice.The people around us began to slip.I knew it was purple ice,it wasn't melting anytime soon.I look around me,Natsu and Happy were in the skies.Mira was in her devil form.I looked at Gray,"can you handle these guys?"i asked.Gray grinned,"any day,"said Gray.I laughed,then i sent up a signal for Carla to get me.A moment later i was lifted into the sky.

"We need to stop those guys from getting into the middle of town."

Carla nodded,then she dove forward.As she moved forward i chanted another spell.This blew the invading mages back.I frowned,noticing how on top of the mountain one person stood.He was watching the destruction unfold."Carla,take me to him.Then go help everyone else,"i said.I knew Carla was unsure but over the past few years since we had fought as a team,my power had greatly increased.Carla dropped me then flew away.I landed on the ground,looking up.Here on the mountain it was windy,we were alone.

"Who are you?Why are you attacking us?"

He turned to me,his arms folded behind his back."What a pleasant surprise,Wendy Conbolt is it?"asked the man.I frowned,looking him up and down.I could feel his magic radiating.It was strong and almost overwhelming."My name is Wendy Marvell,"i answered.He tilted his head to the side,as if he was confused as to what i had just said.He breathed in deeply,"from your mates name i assumed you took his last name.My apologies,"said the man.I frowned,he was one creepy dude.

"You didn't answer my question.Why are you attacking us?"

The man put a finger up,"silly me!Well,if you must know i'm after someone.The dragon slayers,unfortunately i don't know what they look like,"said the man.I looked down at my body,i had wings on my back and scales sprouting from my skin.Did i not look like a dragon slayer?"Well i'm right here,what do you want from us?"i asked.I knew i should be fighting,not talking but he was weird.Something didn't seem right about him.

"Well,i want you.I want your mates and i want your children.Your powers would awaken the lost books of Zeref,opening the gates to the dragons."

I shook my head,"you have to fight me before you take my son,"i spat.He turned around,i didn't have a good look at his face before but now as i watched him i had a perfect view.My eyes widened,it was the same man Romeo and I had fought on the island so many years ago."Ahh,you've changed.Surprised?"asked the man.I shook my head,refusing to believe we could have prevented this.

"Kneel before me,i am the son of Acnologia."

I laughed,knowing it wasn't true.Then i screamed,feeling a burning pain spread across my body.I fell to my knees.I sucked in a deep breath,the pain was intense but i'd had worse."What the hell did you just do?"i asked,struggling to stand back up.The man had a surprised expression on his face.He smirked,"people don't usually stand after that spell,"commented the man.I rolled my joints,ready to fight."I'm not like other mages.Now fight me,"i commanded.He laughed,rolling up his sleeves.
