Chapter Twenty Nine

I woke up to the sun in my eyes,Romeo was still asleep.I sat up and stretched,then realised i fell asleep with no clothes.I looked down at the ring,it was shimmering so brightly in the light.

Thank god last night wasn't a dream...

I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom,turning the shower on.I heard Romeo wake up,"I'm having a shower!"i called out.I heard Romeo groan from sleepiness.I giggled to myself."Can i join you?"asked Romeo.

"Depends will you try have sex with me?"

"No guarantees!"

I laughed and Romeo turned up in the bathroom.I looked down and giggled some more."Nice morning wood,"i teased.Romeo groaned and got in the shower,he was always grumpy in the morning.I got in with him.

The water hit us,it was nice and warm.Romeo got the shower head and began washing my hair and getting it wet.I turned around and let him,it was so peaceful.He wet my hair,the hot water massaging my scalp.

He slowly brushed his hand through it,then grabbed shampoo.I felt him massage it into my head,then wash it out.It was the small things that made me love him so much.Once all the bubbles were rinsed out i turned around.

"We should make breakfast and get to the guild."

"Come on its thursday we don't have to get there early,"responded Romeo.I laughed and shook my head,"Kasai genius,he probably misses us!"i explained.Romeo rolled his eyes.

"With the way my dad spoils that kid no way!He's probably eating pancakes in bed like a king!"

"What'd you have for breakfast Kasai?"

Kasai jumped up and down,"i had pancakes!"exclaimed Kasai.Romeo snickered and i slapped him on the arm."Well that sounds yum!Did you behave for pops?"asked Romeo.Kasai nodded enthusiastically.

"Well that's good,but me and dad have to go talk to Erza so you play with the other kids."

Kasai nodded and ran off,i lead the way to Erzas office.She sat there patiently,when we walked in she looked up.She gave us a warm welcome and we sat down opposite her.

"I contacted the islanders and they've allowed us to go.We need the whole guild to go,however i need you two to map out the island for us.They're preparing as we speak.I'll make an announcement soon."

"We'll get on it right away Erza,"said Romeo.Erza nodded,we stood up and we walked back down to Kasai."Come on we need to go home,"i said.Kasai didn't have time to respond.I grabbed him and held his hand as we walked out of the guild.

I squeezed his small hand in mine,everything was real now.In a matter of days the fate of the dark guild,and Fairy Tail was in mine and Romeos planning.This was a big responsibility,and a soon to be stress reliever.

The walk back to our home was quiet and brief,the joy of our engagement was quickly ruined by the reality of the fact that we could lose one another in the war that was coming.I shivered,i couldn't lose Romeo again.

"Hey Wendy Kasai feels really hot can we just give him some medication and he can rest?He doesn't feel well."

I snapped out of it,Romeo stood next to me.He held Kasai,i gave Kasai a sympathetic smile."Uh yeah,here,"i said.I held Kasai and bounced him on my hip as Romeo measured out medicine.I gave it to Kasai,who was falling asleep on my shoulder.

I carried him up to his room and placed him on his bed,i turned around and saw Romeo at the door.He opened his arms.I sniffled and ran into his arms,he sighed and hugged me tightly."Come on let's go lay down,"said Romeo.

I nodded and followed him,he laid down and pulled me on top."What's wrong?"asked Romeo.What wasn't wrong?What wasn't going wrong in my life right now?Everything was just a cluster of mess and remnants of a stupid mistake i made.

"Everything!We have to map out the island and create battle plans and figure out resources!We're about to go to war and we just got engaged what if you die Romeo?What if you die for real this time?"

Romeo sighed,rubbing my back.I wanted to bury my head into his neck until this was all over."I won't,i won't die.Everything will be okay,"said Romeo.I sat up,straddling his hips.Tears ran down my face,hot and salty.

"No!You don't get to say everything will be okay,you promised me that last time and i...i had to raise Kasai alone...i can't do that again!"

Romeo looked at me oddly,"again?"asked Romeo.I wiped my nose on my arm,and my eyes.I shrugged my shoulders,"aren't we trying again?"i asked.Romeo laughed and sat up on his forearms."I didn't know we were,"said Romeo.

"I haven't been taking my birth control because i thought that's what we were doing!"

Romeo laughed even more,"oh my god no i thought we were just not caring because your on birth control,"said Romeo.I gasped,this idiot.I slapped his arm,getting up.The mood had changed now,"now i have to take a pregnancy test,"i said.

"Do you want it positive?"

"I don't know!"i responded.I walked into the bathroom and took one out,i brought them recently as a joke for Levy when she came for tea and felt sick.It was nothing but now they came in handy.

I peed on the stupid stick,Romeo stood at the door.I felt my stomach bubble,did i want a kid?Well another one,i had a son.Maybe a little baby girl?She would be so beautiful...

I sighed,i wanted another kid but now wasn't the time for me to have one.Was it?Finally the time was up as the lines formed,Romeo walked in.I looked at the stick in anticipation.I sighed out,leaning against Romeo.

"Negative."
