Chapter Thirty Eight

I opened my eyes,looking around.Where was i?I sat up slightly,wincing as i felt severe pain in my stomach.I managed to get my legs on the ground.I looked around me,was i in the hut Wendy and I were the first time we came here?

I stood up and realised i was shirtless.All i had were some bandages and shorts,They looked similar to the ones from the night Wendy and I became mates.I cringed as i walked out of the hut.I looked around outside and saw that the walls were being taken down.The walls,the ones to keep Hisao and his guild out?

Than it dawned on me,the battle.Was Wendy okay?All i remember was passing out from pain,i stumbled forward to some women who were taking care of kids."Hey have you seen Wendy?"i asked.The girls glanced up,most of them didn't know me.

"Oh my god it's you!"

I glanced at the voice,i recognised the face.She was Ruby,one of the girls who crushed on me majorly when i had come here for the mission."Yeah..do you know where Wendy is?"i asked.She smiled and stood up.

"Yeah she's just over here in this hut checking everyone's wounds,how have you been?"

"I'm good,"i answered.She smiled and pushed the drape out of the way,i saw Wendy sitting up on a chair,checking someone's wound on their thigh."This should heal well,make sure to keep it clean,"said Wendy.

"Of course,thank you."

Wendy smiled and stood up,i sighed.The skirt and top,the same design from the night we became mates.They gave us these clothes on purpose.Wendy glanced over,finally noticing someone was there.She smiled as soon as she saw me.

"I'll leave you two alone."

I thanked her and we were left alone,Wendy smiled and broke down in tears.She stood up and hugged me tightly,i hugged her back."You're okay,"i whispered.Wendy laughed and hugged me back tighter."I'm okay,"replied Wendy.

I sighed and breathed in her scent,"did we win?"i asked.Wendy nodded,she pulled back and sat down on the chair.I sat opposite her."I don't remember much,just passing out and here waking up,"i said.Wendy had a sad smile on her face.

"You were dying,this time i thought it was real.I used all my magic to heal you but i rested and i'm okay now.You've been resting for two days,he opened up old wounds but...i killed him."

I sighed in relief."Hes finally gone,"i said.Wendy nodded and i stood up and hugged her a second time."I'm so happy you're okay-..."i pulled back,Hisao was dead and the guild was disbanded."Kasai!Where is he!"i yelled.Wendy laughed and assured me.

"He's okay,he's with Macao right now 'helping' with repairs."

"How is he?"i asked,Wendy smiled and rubbed a hand over my chest."He was traumatised but we got someone to wipe those memories from him,so he's okay now.Macao is spoiling him behind belief,"said Wendy.

"I'm so glad,and the guild is everyone okay?"

Wendy nodded,"everyone is helping the islanders for a feast tonight,"said Wendy.I sighed in relief and buried my head in her neck."Thats something i'm looking forward too,"i said.Wendy laughed and rubbed my back.

"It's all over now..."

"We can be normal,"i said.It dawned on me,i looked at Wendy's hand and saw the ring around her finger."We can plan a wedding now,"i said.Wendy laughed.She kissed my cheek,giving me some sort of sultry look.

"We can also try for another kid."

"I like that idea,"i replied.I leaned down and kissed her,feeling her skin under my hands.This is how our lives were meant to be."We never told anyone we were getting married,"i whispered.Wendy laughed and pulled back.
