Chapter Six

My eyes fluttered open,I opened my eyes and saw Romeo standing there.He had his regular white pants on,put he was pulling on a vest.It shaded from a dark blue to a sea green.He pulled it over his toned shoulders,tying it tightly around his hips with a white sash.I admired his body for a second,i couldn't help myself.I coughed,then Romeo turned around.He smiled at me,things were still extremely awkward between us."So,we have some traditional outfits for the feast?Perseus dropped them off but you were still asleep,"said Romeo.I nodded,then looked at y feet and saw neatly folded next to them was some clothes.They were the same colour as Romeo's vest.

"I should get changed."

Romeo nodded,but i realised we didn't really have any private areas to do so.Usually one wouldn't be in the hut while the other was changing.But Romeo was busy packing his bag.I stood up,"don't turn around,please,"i requested.Romeo nodded,i stood up.I looked at the outfit,it was long floor length skirt with two slits on each side.It was a deep ocean blue that towards the top faded into green.The top was a halter,it tied around my back and my neck.I noticed it came with matching underwear and bra,"they really made me a bra,"i joked.Romeo laughed and continued to do so as i undressed.I pulled the bra on,which was just a soft bit of fabric that reached across to my back.I put the underwear on after realising how long the slit was.It'd be awkward accidentally revealing pink underwear.I grabbed the skirt and clipped it around my waist.I managed to tie up the top around my neck,but i couldn't with my back.

"Hey can you tie this up for me?"

I turned around so Romeo could tie it up,I felt his smooth hand run across my back as he grabbed the two laces.I felt the top slowly get tighter,then Romeo let go.I thanked him and grabbed a brush,flattening it out.I looked at Romeo,whose eyes we're travelling up and down my skin.I smiled,then i brushed out my clothes."I'm gonna help prepare for the feast,"i said.Romeo nodded,then i walked out.I sighed,what was happening?Why was it so awkward?It was just a kiss and an in the moment kind of thing.I mean,we were just friends weren't we?The whole kiss was just a kiss,it mean't nothing.I looked up,hearing my name being called.I saw the healers sitting down,the women were wearing the exact same outfit but in different variations.Some were orange,red,pink,yellow or in between.Some of them had different styled tops or skirts,but it was all similar.I sat down next to them,"let me help wash those,"i said as i looked at the huge pile of vegetables.Rose,one of the healers,looked at me.She thanked me.

I began washing them in a basin of water,i noticed the wall around the village was beginning to go down as they were now safe to return to their normal lives.I watched as Romeo walked past us,joining a group of young guards.Romeo had become good friends with them over the days.I looked down and smiled,trying to ignore the image of his sun kissed skin and bare torso.Next to me,one of the younger girls commented how attractive Romeo was.Instantly Jade replied,"he's Wendy's partner!You cant say that!"scolded Jade,the girl looked over at me.I waved my hands in front of my face.

"No!No,Romeo is my partner as in work partner.We're a team,our guild has teams and since my old team is older now i'm in Romeos team.Trust me,totally mutual between us."

"But you live together?"asked Rose,i froze.What was i supposed to say now?I laughed and continued cleaning vegetables,"we live together as friends. Separate rooms and all.If you like him you can make a move on him,"i said.The girl looked at me,then she turned around to her friend and started whispering excitedly.I looked over at him,he ran a hand through his hair as if to show his sun kissed skin and toned muscles.I looked at the girl,"make a move on him tonight during the dances,"i suggested.She smiled at me and quietly thanked me.She seemed to be a year younger then me.

"I beat he's good in bed."

I laughed,"i've never been with him so i cant tell you the truth,"i replied.We all laughed,then it followed by a loving silence.I was lucky to be with them.Suddenly,Jade spoke up."I'm just saying i'd hook up with him,"muttered Jade.I gasped and held a hand over my mouth,trying to hold back some laughter.Then as i was cleaning the vegetables,a shadow overcame me.Suddenly,someone was crouching in front of me.I looked up,seeing Romeo."Want some help ladies?"said Romeo,his voice smooth and deep."I'm fine,but they could use some help,"i said,pointing towards the healer that was crushing on Romeo.He nodded and walked over to her.

"What do you need me to do?"

I was laughing,drinking on some traditional alcohol.In the middle of everyone was a huge fire,kids were dancing around them.I'd just been taught a few dances in the morning,so i could join in on the fun.I was talking to one of the guards on the island,he was tan with black hair.He had bright green eyes.I laughed at something he said,"well in my guild i'm what you call an S class wizard.I completed some hard trials and now i get special quests,such as this,"i answered.He nodded,a smile on his face.He was shirtless with baggy red pants.He had traditional tattoos covering his arm."I'm glad you came to our island,it's been a pleasure having you here,"said the guard whose name still remained unknown."So whats your name?"i asked,he laughed and ran a hand through his hair.

"My name is Kai."

I smiled,"its a nice name.You already know my name,"i said,laughing. Kai laughed too."So tell me,are all the girls in your guild just as funny and beautiful?"asked Kai.I felt heat rush to my cheeks,but under the glow of the fire it was nothing.I looked down,then i heard music playing louder.It was a dance for women only,i smiled."I'll be right back,"i said,slowing walking into the middle.I stood next to Jade,then the music started.I laughed,following the steps Jade taught me earlier.I moved my hips in sync with the music,slowly moving.As the music sped up i began to get more into the beat.I lifted my arm above my head,looking at Kai.Suddenly,my attention was caught by someone else.Romeo,who was with his friends.At first he wasn't looking at the girls dancing,but then after someone making a joke he turned to look at the dancing women.

We locked eyes,i sucked in a breath.He was watching me with something shining in his eyes.Lust?It looked like it,the way his eyes followed my hips or my hands.I slightly turned to my side,rolling my hips in the tune of the music.My skirt revealed my legs,high up to my hips.Romeo looked at me,then the music slowly stopped.It turned into a more cheerful dance.I watched as other girls began dragging people into the dance,i turned away from Romeo.I walked up to Kai."Come dance with me,"i murmured in his ear.Kai gave me a smirk,then holding my hand he followed me.He grabbed me by the waist as we danced,keeping up with the fast beat.I laughed as he twirled me around.

Then,like everyone else he spun me so when i turned around i was with someone else.I laughed as i tripped into someones arms.I looked up,seeing his face.Romeo held me tightly,"we need to talk,"said Romeo.I shrugged,following the dance like everyone else.Romeo pulled me back into his chest again,"i don't like that guy talking to you,"said Romeo.I rolled my eyes,why did he care so much about who i did and didn't talk too.Why was he suddenly so interested anyway?

"I don't stop you from talking to girls."

Romeo sighed,"you can't say there is nothing between us because we can both feel it,"said Romeo.I leaned away from him,suddenly missing the warmth his body radiated.I turned around,deciding to get a drink of water.I pushed through the crowd and began walking down to where water was in a large basin.I grabbed one of the cups next to it and dipped it in,i took a few sips before putting the cup down.I heard steps behind me,i turned around.Romeo stood there,"why are you denying it?"asked Romeo."Im not denying anything,"i replied.Romeo walked over to me,slowly backing me against the table.He leaned down to my ear.

"You're denying something and we both know it."

I shivered as his warm breath tickled my skin.Then Romeo put his hand on my waist,his other hand on my cheek.I looked at him,leaning closer to his body.Then his lips gently kissed mine.I kissed him back,feeling the need too.What was i doing?I pulled back,unsure of what to say.I swallowed hard,looking him in the eye.I pushed past him,deciding it was best to finish the night and talk about it later.I looked back,he was watching me leave.What were we doing?
