The next two weeks, for once, didn't go by in a blur. Jeff came by every night, always covered in fresh blood but you didn't mind. You always asked about how many people he had killed that day and the wonderful details of each murder. Most of the time, you couldn't stop laughing because the victims were so sad, like the one guy who begged to live just to grow his business more.
There were even those rare days when he got a little out of hand and killed 70 people when his regular killing spree range was 30-40 people. If he did that, he would spend all day with you. You loved it when he was over all day. When Jeff spent the day with you, you felt wanted, acknowledged even. Hell, you felt safe around the smiling killer. He would visit as often as he could. You felt like time stopped when you were around him. You secretly wished that things could stay the same way forever. But as everyone knows, change eventually has to happen.
It was about three months after meeting Jeff. It was a regular night visit when he appeared. They were just talking about one of Jeff's victims when the fire grow six feet and changed to a crimson red color. Thankfully, you lived in a pretty big clearing so none of the trees caught fire. You and Jeff opened jumped back as the heat intensified. Suddenly, the fire opened up to reveal a demon-looking male who was completely black with full red eyes and another set set of eyes above the regular set. When he smiled, six other fanged smiles appeared on his chest. The only cloth on him was the blood red cape on his back. As the demon stepped out of the flames, it returned to the regular campfire it was before it appeared.
You and Jeff were still standing when he was revealed from the flames. You guessed that Jeff knew the dude because when he had a good look at the black demon, his body in front of you in a protective stance. When the dark male stepped forward, Jeff growled, sending a clear warning to stay away. The demon didn't seem to like it but he stopped in his tracks. Then he smirked.
"Well, well, well...seems like we're at an impasse." the demon said in a...well, demonic voice. Jeff didn't seem happy to see him.
"Fuck off, Zalgo. When you go some where, you go with a reason and if your here, and I know it's not by mistake, then your there for (Y/N), the girl behind me. But we both know that I won't just step aside, so yes...we are at an impasse." the smiling killer said. You were a little confused by the words that left Jeff's mouth, but you decided to question him later. Right now you had to deal with the problem at hand: the intruding demon.
"Ok, I don't know what the hell is going on but what I do know is that you're an intruder and if you don't go away, all I can say is this: DON'T...MAKE...ME...ANGRY!!!" you said as your eyes glowed a dangerous red color. Zalgo's four eyes widened as he backed away, stepping into the fire and sending heated ashes into the sky. Zalgo regained his composer and tried to step closer to you and Jeff but Jeff growled again, warning the demon to once again stay away. You could see the gears turning in Zalgo's head as the area turned into a silent standoff between the smiling killer and the demon. After a few minutes, Zalgo slumped his shoulders in defeat.
"Alright, Jeff, you win. I'll leave her alone today. But I warn you now. (Y/N) will one day be mine and the others will follow suit. Just you wait...it's only a matter of time." the demon said menacingly. With that being said, the fire grew beneath him and when the fire returned to normal, Zalgo was gone.
