"Ok, let's start at the beginning I guess. So I know regular humans like you only give birth to up to three children at a time but werewolves are different. We can have up to seven kids, or as we call them, pups at a time. I was born in a litter of five with my three sisters and brother. I'm the middle child if we were talking by human standards. My eldest sisters in order were named Lupa and Selena the I was born before my little brother, Alistair, and finally my baby sister, Zoe." She paused for a moment before continuing. "My father was head of the village or Alpha of my old pack if I'm speaking from a wolf's perspective. Now that I got that out of the way, I can continue. Normally, the eldest born was destined to be the next Alpha, but I was an exception. By the age of two I was able to defeat our strongest warrior in hand-to-hand combat.
"I know I might sound like I'm trying to sound powerful but it's important. Anyway, after my siblings and I fought each other for the line, I came out on top, meaning that after my father stepped down from his title, I would take his place. However, the day me and my siblings turned five, we all started hearing voice in our heads, giving us splitting headaches." She chuckled slightly. "At the time, we thought we were going crazy but when my father heard, he told us that we had demons in our minds and bodies. He told us that he also had a demon tho it was weaker than ours. We learned that our demons were powerful, or as we liked to call them and how they preferred us to call them, demon lords.
"I can't remember exactly who had which lord but my oldest sister, Lupa, had Diablo, lord of terror. Selena, I think, had the lady of violent vengeance. Alistair had the lord of lies and trickery and I can't remember what Zoe had. And we learned that the reason I was so strong and powerful was because of my demon, Daemon, the rightful ruler of hell. At the time, we would always be at each others throats and several times, he literally fed off my energy to drain me of everything I had. My father decided to teach us how to use our demons powers for the village and so began our training that lasted for a few years.
"Anyway, enough about my early childhood. I need to get to the point. So the way our pack ran was very close to a regular wolf pack so we had certain wolves who were assigned to hunt for food. One day, we sent a newly assigned wolf to go hunt with the others. It was his first hunt and everything, as I was told, was fine...until we realized that he was spotted by humans who were moving in to settle a few miles away from our own village." Her ears went down as she pulled her knees up to her chest. She was clearly upset but you were unsure why. You didn't push her to hurry as you sat by her side, giving her comfort with your presence. After a while, she continued.
"One day, I was learning the duties of Alpha when we heard screaming. We rushed outside to find several hundred humans charging through our streets, burning our houses and killing most of the grown males. My father tried to fight but he was outmatched by several humans at a time and was eventually brought to his knees." Her ears dropped lower as she talked about her father and you noticed the small tears forming in her eyes.
"I-I had to watch the whole thing and when he was brought to his knees, I wanted to help him so bad but my body refused to move. I...I watched as they grabbed his jaw and twisted his head." The tears fell and she buried her head in her knees. "Th-the sound...I still remember how loud it was..." You put a hand on her shoulder and pulled her into a hug. She didn't return the hug, her body tense. You rubbed her back to comfort her and slowly, you felt her body relax until she wrapped her arms around your chest, crying quietly into your body.
"Hey. It's ok. I've had to watch my parents burn in a house fire when I was little too." you said hoping to comfort her. You know it wasn't as sever as her father's death but you still understood the pain from the lose of a loved one. She seemed to sense your honesty and nodded. When she was ready, she pulled out of the hug and returned to holding her knees close.
