"Cassie, I can't do that. Leah is my best friend." I answered.

Just than Leah walked up. "Tommy cried! Can you believe it? I wasn't even wearing my boots!"

"Hopefully he doesn't tell!" I giggled, and Cassie rolled her eyes.

"I'm leaving." Cassie walked away.

"What's with her?" Leah asked and I shrugged.

"How was your day honey?" My mom asked and I told her the whole story.

Mom handed me a cookie and I gladly accepted.

"Sounds like you had a tough day. But I'm glad you made the right choice." Mom rubbed my back.

"Leah is my bestest friend forever!" I said, with a mouthful of cookie.

"I'm glad, it's hard to find such good friends." Mom answered.

"Being 7 is so hard!" I shook my head and mom laughed.

"Mom I'm being honest! Don't laugh!" I said sternly.

"Just wait till your 8!"
