just something I cooked up while being bored yesterday. decided to publish it here. There's a smut scene, so this takes place between the bologna incident chapter to the trial chapter, where he's 22. enjoy

"Welcome to Nockfell, (Y/N)!" Your dad triumphed as he pulled over at a gas station not too far from Addison Apartments, the place where you'd be living.

"Finally, a rest stop. Yeesh, we've been driving for 2 hours, dad!" You said, getting out of the car and sighing.

"Sorry, hun. You wanna go in and get something?"

"Yeah. Got any cash?"

"Yep. Here ya go." Dad said, handing you a five dollar bill and getting out to pump the gas.

You smiled and accepted the cash, stuffing it into your pocket and walking into the gas station.

Drinks, snacks, novelty items, medicine, other necessary gas station shit. You headed towards the drink section and picked out an Arizona tea, and went for the usual bag of gummy bears and a pack of gum.

"Hey, I like your shirt, dude!" Came a male teen's voice from beside you.

You turned around, and saw a tall kid with long brown hair. He must've been referring to your Sanity's Fall shirt, as he was wearing the same one.

"Oh! Thanks, man. Yours too." You said, giving him a toothy grin.

"No prob, dude! I didn't actually think there were any Sanity's Fall fans left."

"I didn't either. Are you from Nockfell? I just moved here from California and I don't really know anyone around here."

"Yeah, actually. Why are you here all the way from California?" The teen asked.

"My dad thought it'd be a better change of scenery for me since I've been having a lot of trouble with my anxiety. I kinda like it here already."

"Sweet. I'm Larry, by the way. How bout you?"

"I'm (Y/N)(L/N). It was nice meeting you. I better get going, my dad and I are heading to Addison Apartments."

"Whoa, really? That's where I live!"

"Aw, cool! I'll see you there, I guess!"

"Seeya!" Larry said, waving you off as you paid for your items and walked out of the gas station.

"Hey dad, I think I made a friend at the gas station today." You said, trying to strike up small talk with your dad as you both unpacked your things. You could already tell your dad would get very comfortable very quickly.

"Really? Cool, hun! Who would that be?" Dad said, setting a snowglobe he had gotten from a zoo in California on a high shelf.

"His name is Larry. He likes Sanity's Fall too. And he lives here!"

"Ooh, a boyfriend?"

"Dad, shut up!" You said playfully, chuckling and nudging him on the shoulder.

"Just joking around, (Y/N). Say, why don't you go meet your new apartment mates while I get all our stuff situated? You could make more friends."

"Sounds like a good idea. I'll probably go visit Larry too, wherever he is."

"Have fun, sweetie!"

You grabbed your hoodie and pulled it over yourself as you headed out the door, making way for the elevator.
