Levi X Reader 2

Ch. 2: What follows

The sky was a shade of dark blue, lit by the moonlight with few stars in the sky. Fire torches were set up around the assembly area. The squads are gathered together and each Corporal did their roll call, to see what had become of their group after the avalanche. Erwin stands on the raised platform with his stern eyes, waiting. Levi, couldn't help but look for you amongst the crowd. You are not hard to find, as he can easily find you among the usual crowd.

Sasha can't stop stuffing her face with her potatoes from nervousness, you have no idea where she stashes those, but it was amazing to watch her eat. She gave you some to nibble on, you take the offer while waiting for the situation to settle down. Connie rubbed his frozen face with the palm of his hands. While Jean cried out of frustration, as Marco tried to calm him by gently patting his back. Despite what had happened, Mikasa held her composure, just tugging on her red scarf a little higher to her cover her nose from the cold, as she glances at Eren who was quite baffled. Later it was announced that the missing persons are Krista, Ymir, and Dazz.

Everyone one of you now settled into your assigned cabins with a group of 8 in each cabin, which was well lit with lanterns and 3 candles lit with their flames flicking from the slightest wind stood tall on their bronze candle stand on the table near the window. Your cabin group consists of Sasha, Mikasa, Petra, Hange, and the other 4 girls you barely know. Inside the cabin are 4 bunk beds. You chose the top bunk through winning two rounds of rock, paper, scissor with Sasha. Sasha lies on her bed below dozing off, while you lay lazily on your bed, thinking of the food they are preparing at the dining hall at the moment. Then a knock came to the door.

*Knock knock knock*

Everyone's eyes stare blankly at the door as if waiting for someone to open it... no one moved.
*knock Knock KNOCK!*

*Silence*

"Oh for God's sake, open up!" someone yells on the other side of the door.
Hange snickers. Petra is the one who got the door. While you stealthily climb to Sasha's bed. Sitting beside her to see how she's doing. She sits up beside you but immediately stands up when the door flys open and in came Commander Erwin, with Levi, and Moblit holding a lantern each, everyone scrambled to their feet and straightened their uniforms saluting with their fist on their hearts. 'Sorry for the disturbance ladies seems like some of you were asleep.' No one dared to answer, because the truth was all of you were just a bunch of lazy bums, who didn't want to answer the door at the moment.

Commander Erwin looks at Hange and said, "Hange, take Moblit and gather the research team."
"Petra, take these cadets to the dining hall."

Hange was about to leave, when she turns on her heels to Commander Erwin "Wait, what! I don't get to eat after all that blizzard marring at my self-esteem?!"

Commander Erwin gives her a questionable look, 'Hange..' he mutters while Levi stares at her with a deadpan face sighs under his breath. You glance at everyone around the room. Silently you raised your right hand, "Um...Commander. Can the rest of us go to the dining hall now?" Sasha on the side slowly nods in agreement. ' Ah... yes, of course. Petra, if you will.' Erwin says with a gentlemanly gesture of a hand toward the door. 'Yes, sir.' Petra led you and the other girls out the door, sliding through the space available between the doorframe and Levi who didn't move one bit until you passed by. Levi lightly grabs your hand, so his fingertips gingerly caresses your skin as you slide your hand out of his. You look back at him, you bit your lower lip as you feel the tension build on your heart. That bite on the lip made Levi uneasy as he tries to control the urge to pull you in for a kiss.

You quickly walk toward the group of girls that had already walked a few feet away from the cabin. Unconsciously placing your hand on your heart, 'Ah~ my heart' a voice cried dramatically beside you, and it was no other than Sasha who had been walking alongside you. You let out a chuckle as Sasha laughed with you, putting an arm around your neck as you arrive at the dining hall, 'Welcome, to the Kingdom of food.'
