Ch. 14: Take Over

With the key ring still looped around your ring finger, you held the key and the cabin label into the palm of your hand.

You glanced at Levi with a blush on your cheeks, his reaction caught you off guard, as he looked at you with earnest eyes.

"I'll express my love for you, even if everyone is watching." You remembered his words that night when he pulled you into the tub with him.

Petra is staring, as she clutched her hand into a fist.

Levi looked over at Petra, her legs rooted to the ground as she had no words to what she is seeing in front of her.

"Petra, it is very unprofessional of you to be making such dramatic nuances during times of an important exploration." Levi frowned as he continued to say," As punishment, finish cleaning these plates and bowls." Levi grabbed you by your wrist, pulling you with him.

Before walking out the dining hall with him. He said to Petra, " Let me make this clear. I came to help, not because I have any romantic feelings for you. It's because it's an enjoyable hobby of mine to clean. Please don't get your personal feelings mixed up with a chore."

Leaving Petra in the dining hall, as he pulled you along stepping out into the snow. Gently sliding his hand from your wrist to the palm of you hand.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" he asked as he walked beside you holding your hand.

You glanced at him, " I was surprised. And wasn't it a bit too harsh to leave her with those piles of dishes?..."

Levi stopped in front the steps leading up to his cabin, and turned to look at you. He held out a hand, motioning you to give him the key in your hand. You looked at him, "I thought this is mine." you stated. Bringing the key clasped in the palm of hand close to your chest.

He chuckled, "They don't give spares for security reasons. But I'll still ask the camp coordinator for one." He ran his fingers through his hair,

"If I can't get one, I'll do my best to get here before you." he said with a warm smile.

You gave him a warm hug before giving him the key in your hand. Levi unlocked the door with the key. You followed him into the cabin, closing the door behind you.

Inside the cabin, it was dark. The curtains were still closed since last night. As you tried to feel your way around the entrance, you could hear the rhythmic *clicks* of Levi's boots stepping across the wooden floor.

In the dark, Levi picked up the matchbox laying beside the fireplace, and lite a match, bringing it to light the candle in the lantern, which is sitting on the dining table. Levi slipped his jacket and hung in on the chair near the fireplace.

As the candle light illumitated the room. You took off your uniform jacket and hung it on the chair. You looked up, and realized Levi was leaning against the dining table, his arms crossed over each other across his chest as he stared at you.

After all this time, his stares still make your heart thump.

He lifted his body off the the side of the table with a push of his hip, and walked over slowly toward you, his hand glide over the top of the table. Then touched your blushing cheeks.

You looked at him, as he leaned in close to you. You placed a finger on his lips. He looked into your eyes. As you looked back at him, you asked,"Why didn't you tell me about...the marriage proposal?"

Levi spoke against your finger placed on his lips. "I didn't feel the need to tell you something that's not going to happen. And I already propsed to you. You said yes, and that's all that matters."

You looked down, as your finger slipped off his lips. Then you felt Levi's finger clasped under your chin, lifting your face up to look at him in the eyes.

His head tilted to the side, his bangs brushed againt his eyes. "Not liking my answer?" he asked.

His fingers let go of your face, as he leaned close to your ear, his hot breathe brushed against your ear and neck as he whispered,
"You can punish me, if you'd like."

Levi leaned back on the edge of the dining table, as he unclasped the 3D Manuver gear belt across his chest, as the belt slipped off his shoulders he said,

"I'll take it, anything you want."
