Ch. 19 : The Rescue (Lime)

The next morning after a hearty breakfast, everyone quickly assembled into the town square, awaiting Commander Erwin's order. While they wait in their groups, with the horses by everyone's side, holding them against their harness.

Erwin stepped up to the platform that was set up before hand. He scanned over the group in front of him. "At our current situation, it is very unfortunate that our comrades, Eren and Krista were kidnapped yesterday. Today, is the start of our real exploration. As you can see, we are facing foes using guns this time. But we don't have time to train further more, because time is essence. And without it, we don't know what will happen to Krista and Eren. Thus, we will set off once everyone had checked their gear and grouped into their formation. All I hope for on this exploration, is that all of you come home safe, so be on your feet at all times, and whatever you do, don't freeze on the spot. Or you will be the lifeless one. Use what you have learnt and use it wisely, whether it is to kill a titan or a human being. Regroup."

Everyone went on their way to regroup with their assigned formation. You being on Levi's team rode close to Commander Erwin's formation.

Another long ride.

Each pound of the horse's hooves, beat against the dirt ground, just like the pounding of your heart against your ribcage.

Out of the midst of the trees, huge eyes came into view. Then a limb grazed lightly on top of the swaying trees. Connie almost cussed under his breathe, as flares were fired into the blue cloudless sky.

"More are coming ahead!" Hange shouted.

Everyone unsheathed their blades from its chamber, gripping it tightly in their hands as a titan approached, one too big for your liking. You see it leaning down with its head and arms. Its mouth agape as drool run down the corner of its mouth. It was slow at first, but when its mouth directed to its target, it snaps its mouth sharply at the person in front of it and extended its neck. You see a cadet on horseback, his back so straight and tense, as the huge head lunged forward. It's disgusting mouth chomped off his horse's head. As blood splattered on the rider's face.

A few of your commrade swoop in to rescue the cadet that was scared to death, while the others sliced up the back of its neck. The titan now lay lifeless on the grassy land along with the headless horse.

Everyone sped up, galloping their horses as quickly as possible with the titans coming in.

Soon you were off your horse with the others, triggering your 3D Manuver gear at almost all direction as you stepped off a titanic's head, which you had jabbed its eye with your blade. Sasha came by to slice its neck, making a U turn just to give you a high five on the way down.

You resumed back to your horse which was held onto by Nanaba, while riding along it.

"On your left," Nanaba shouted as small titans as well as some jumpers came into view. Nanaba guided your horse to the right. Connie came in to assist you.

Soon the group of titans dispersed, and thankfully there were no causalities.

Levi lead his group back to formation, looking back to check that everyone was not left behind.

Three days had passed since Krista and Eren had been taken. Titans kept coming for some reason. But soon the Survey Crops were able to find the place. The crystalline chamber beneath the chapel.

The fight with these gunman were so fast paced, that some of you couldnt quite wrap it around your head, as to what is going to happen. Thankfully, following Levi's commands was all it took to get through it, as the groups of Survey Corps pushed off explosives made with water barrels, soon the area was filled with clouds of smoke, restricting the gunman's eyesight to aim. While your group zipped through the crystalized chamber with ease and stealthily took them out one by one. Levi was the one who faced off with the man named Kenny and they seemed like they had an undeniable past.
