Oliver's P.O.V.

Justin slipped into my room,

"Hey can you drive me to Grayson's?"

"Kid, I'm kinda busy.", I said, looking up from facetiming my girlfriend, Olivia.

"O-Okay. I'll just walk." He went to leave but stopped, "I-I love you." I looked back to my phone,

"Hey, I gotta go babe. I'm sorry."

"It's okay.", she said smiling, "I'll talk to you later. Love you."

"Love you too baby." She hung up as I got up, "C'mon."

"Y-You don't have to. I'm-I'm sorry.", he whispered.

"Jus, I need out of this damn house. Let's go. I want tacos anyways."

Halfway to Grayson's Justin took a shaky breath,

"I really don't want to be alive right now Oli."

"I-I know. I could tell." I glanced at him, "Did-Did you talk to dad? He'll listen y'know."

"He was too mad about my english grade to even notice how fucked up I was. He rhetorically asked me how my day was and I knew not to answer but I said terrible, hoping he would ask and he completely ignored it. Then he hit me- more than he ever has- and then had the fucking nerve to ask if I was okay. I-I don't even wanna go home."

"I'd cover for you if you stayed at Grayson's." He hesitated,

"M-Me and Grayson broke up." Oh shit.

"What? Why?"

"He... He said he's just outgrown me.", he whispered sadly, "I-I don't think I've been a good boyfriend."

"Kid-"

"What makes Olivia a good sub?", he asked.

"Trust. She trusts me and relies on me and it's how we work."

"I...I thought I did that.", he muttered to himself, "I just- I guess I just sucked at it. I just wasn't good enough."

"Kid, sometimes people just can't work together. It doesn't mean you were a bad boyfriend or you weren't good enough. You will outgrow so many people in your life. It's okay to do that. It's healthy. And people will outgrow you too. Grayson might feel the need to start over now that he moved out. He might want a completely clean slate. I know it hurts, but that's the reality kiddo." Dad should be telling him this. Not that I mind, but it's bullshit that this is my place again.

"I hate this. I hate me."

"Justin.", I said sternly, "You cannot hate yourself because other people hurt you. There is nothing wrong with you and you didn't do anything. You're a fantastic person and there is someone out there almost as great as you who will love you until the day they die. I promise." He nodded a little as I stopped in Grayson's driveway, "Want me to do it?" He shook his head,

"Thanks but I-I have to." I nodded,

"Okay kid." He got out and went to the door, pausing before he knocked. It'd been a long time since he felt the need to knock at Grayson's house. Trent opened the door, sadly trading him the bag for a box of stuff. They said something to each other before he came back to the car. "Good job. I'm proud of you."

"He-He said Grayson couldn't see me. And that he'd still be my brother if I needed him."

"That sounds like Trent." He looked into the box, pulling out a small beaded bracelet,
