Episode Five 🌸

When the Prince was seated, the Emperor called the imperial eunuch to bring over his gift for Xyraen.

The Emperor gave her a gold Phoenix feather hairpin that is also special because the Imperial's sigil is Phoenix and Dragon. While the Empress gave her a gold lotus flower bracelet that was her personal favorite.

The guests and her family were shocked of what the Empress gave to Xyraen. Giving the young lady the bracelet which aside of it being the Empress personal favorite, she also made this on her own. This only shows that the Empress truly like her and will favor Xyraen from now on.

Xyraen was also shocked from the Empress' gift for her. But she regained her calmness and gracefully walked in front of the Royal family.

She bowed to them three times expressing her gratitude, then she stood gracefully and speak.

"Xyraen thanked your majesties for your benevolence and for your generosity. I will forever treasure your gifts. I will serve and praise your majesties until my very last breath. But please, allow me to present a performance for your majesties as also a sign of my gratitude."

The Emperor and the Empress happily agreed with her and so as the guests. While, the Prince just looked at her emotionlessly. And her family that haven't seen or heard any performance from Xyraen before were on the edge of scolding her to stop so she could not embarrass them.

Hindi nila alam kung magaling ba ang dalaga o may talento ba ito dahil kahit pinapadalhan nila ito ng mga guro para magturo dito ay hindi naman nila ito pinagpa-perform sakanilang harapan o dumalaw man lang sa tuwing nagpra-practice ito.

They isolated Xyraen too much to the point they don't know what she's capable of.

Pero wala na silang magagawa pa dahil pumayag na ang Emperor na magperform ang dalaga at nasa harapan na ito. They can only hope that she will not embarrass them.

"I hope she will just paint or cite poem." bulong ng kanyang ina sakanyang ama. Her worried face looked at her husband knowing that he's also worried about their good reputation but now will be tainted.

Hindi naman nakalagpas kay Xyraen ang mga tingin na ibinibigay sakanya ng kanyang pamilya. Ang mga tingin na sinasabing wag silang ipahiya at tumigil na lamang sya.

She smirked inwardly and called Anya to bring forth the instrument.

Nang madala ni Anya ang instrumento patungo kay Xyraen ay napuno ng singhap at bulongan ang  buong hall.

"Isn't that a pipa?!"

"Yes. I heard that's the most difficult instrument to master!"

"It's true. I'm already 66 years old and I've been mastering it for decades but I couldn't."

"Oh my gosh! She will embarrass herself!"

Yan lamang ang ilan sa mga bulongan ng mga bisita. At para namang binagsakan ng langit at lupa ang mga mukha ng pamilya ni Xyraen except kay Yuiyi na parang interesadong marinig ang kapatid na tumugtog ng pipa.
