Coronation

A small story of when Alice became Queen. She was 16 at that time and Moon was 23 years old. Moon belong to Lenixxoxox

Today is the day... The day in which the country will celebrate its new ruler. Not any ruler mind you. A 16 years old girl will become their Queen. It's the first time for a very long time that the country coronates a ruler under 18.

Everyone was busy at the palace as they were preparing the last preparation for the coronation. Except for one person. The princess soon-to-be Queen. Alice was in her bedroom still on her nightgown and cover on her blankets. She didn't sleep at all.

"Today is the day... I am not ready... Why everything must rush like that," she said looking at the floor. The reason why she was coronated... It's because her mother, Aubrey, kill herself not too long ago. After her death, it was announced that Alice would be the next ruler. Not only they just have the funeral done... She now has to take the throne and lead a whole country! It's too much! She didn't feel have the will to get out of her room to face everything

Maybe if I stay quiet no one will notice I am there... As soon she thought it, her bedroom door open suddenly. That startles her and looks behind her. Her big brother, Moon, was at the doorframe looking at her

"Why didn't you change yet?! The Coronation would start soon and we still have a lot to prepare!"

"... I don't want to," she said turning her back at him

"I will not accept no as an answer get up!" Moon said as he approaches the bed and takes off the blanket of her.

"Hey!"

"Get up, clean up and put your royal clothes!"

"No,"

"Starlight we don't have the time to argue!"

"I don't want to,"

"Alice-"

"I DON'T WANT TO!" her eyes start to glow and the bedroom was shaking. Moon quickly close the door and went to hug his little sister

"Shh Alice... Calm down... Please... I am sorry for yelling at you," Moon said in a soothing voice. Alice starts to calm down but tears still falling on the cheeks.

"...how could they do that...?"

"What you mean?"

"You know what I mean..." He sigh. Of course, he knows what she was talking about. He wishes she would never know about anything of the situation but there they are. He looks at his baby sister.

"Honey, I cannot tell you everything but know this... I will be there to protect you from the council," he looks deep in her eyes. "I promise," he said.

Alice looked at him and can see he was serious about keeping his promise.

"Ok, I trust you, big brother,"

"Good, now you have to get clean and change," Moon said

"Alright, but know this I am not happy about being a Queen... However, it's a duty that was bestowed to me by our parents," Alice said before she gets out of bed and went to the bathroom. Moon sigh as he knows for his 16 years old sister it was a huge responsibility upon her. He remembers the day it was announced who would be the next ruler. He already knows at that time since his father told him when he was still a teenager.
