Moonbyul

We both stare at seulgi's car as she drives away, leaving only me and yongsun on this empty street. It's nearly 1 a.m., and I can feel my body weakening as a result of the earlier match.

My body is tired, but my inner soul has come back to life. It's as if I've been reincarnated and given birth for the second time. But the fact that I broke my promise to dahee bothers me.

When Yongsun noticed I was spacing out, she cleared her throat to pull me out of my reverie. A sigh automatically escaped my mouth as I shrugged my shoulders and motioned for her to follow me.

"Come on, let me drive you home," I said, opening the passenger door. She was just standing by my side, staring at me as if she had something to say to me. I raise my brows at her, perplexed by her behavior. Yongsun was alarmed as she hurriedly stepped inside the car while thanking the driver. I walk towards the driver's seat with a smile on my lips. What's up with that expression?  I thought as I enter the car.

"So ma'am, welcome to Byulie's Express, where do you live?" I joked, lightening the mood.

I was aware that Yongsun was still traumatized by what had occurred. She's just an ordinary girl with an innocent mind who is on the verge of getting into trouble. With her beauty, I'm sure a lot of guys are lining up to get her.

Yongsun locked her gaze on me for a moment, as if it were the last time she'd see me. I believe I have something on my face because she has been staring at me strangely since earlier. But I won't mind if she just stares at me. I am confident with my face and proud of it.

"Okay, what's your deal? What's in my face?" I asked consciously, covering my face. I was confident a few seconds ago, but now I'm conscious.

You can't blame me; I can't stand her gorgeous eyes.

"Just drive, I'll show you the way," she said, with a toothy grin on her face, and looked away outside.

She whipped her head to the other side, and I took a deep breath. I simply nodded in response, and the engine roared as I turned the key. The entire ride was quiet; I didn't bother talking, and she didn't dare to make a sound either. I sneaked a glance at her just to see her face light up at the view outside. Her expression is free, and the moonlight from above highlights her beauty in my eyes.

She's really beautiful.

Minutes later, she looks at me and says, "Stop!" I look at her, my brows furrowed and a puzzled expression on my face. I know this isn't where she lives because there isn't a single house or apartment in the area.

"Is... is this the place?" I inquire, my gaze wandering outside, looking for any house nearby. Yongsun chucked and shook her head, which made me even more perplexed.

"So... why did we come here? Do you live here? Are you a mermaid?" I asked.
The problem is that we're in front of the sea because that's the direction she gave me.

"I don't live here, as much as I wish I did. I just want some fresh air. I hope you don't mind. Promise we'll be quick," Yongsun said, fidgeting in her seat.

She became tense all of a sudden.

A bulb lit up above my head as I turn on the engine again. I didn't say anything to Yongsun and left her hanging. She may have realized what I was about to do because I noticed a look of disappointment on her face. She must have assumed I was driving away and taking her home.

As we reached the nearest convenience store, I came to a complete stop and smiled at her. She gave me a puzzled look at first, but that quickly changed when she heard me speak.
