"Ang harot mo girl, I'm so proud."

Kakatapos lang ng major class namin and we were having lunch in the Pavillon today with Lexi and Jules.

"Parang 'di naman kayo sanay?" Sabi ko habang nagty-type sa phone at kausap si Mason.

"Nagbirthday lang si Gia, nagkalove life ka na? Sana all."

"Wala pa nga eh, wag mo i-jinx baka 'di matuloy!" Natatawang sabi ko.

"What's your status na ba?" Lexi asked while peeking on Mason and I's conversation.

"We're still seeing where it goes. We haven't talk about it yet pero lagi kaming magkausap." It's been two weeks since I last saw Mason. At 'yon pang 'yong nag-lunch kami after ko mag-grocery. I've been busy with class and extracurricular activities that's why I wasn't able to make appointments outside school. I was assigned to handle the after-party by Astrid, our president kaya hindi rin ako masyadong makapag-focus kay Mason.

But we didn't stop texting each other, though.

Mas dumalas pa nga 'yon.

Mason has been busy rin with his class and flights. He has to finish his flight hours pa kasi to get his CPL.

"So parang M.U.?" Tanong ni July.

I scrunched up my face and said, "Uso pa ba 'yon? Ayoko ng ganon. He's going to reap all the benefits pero walang label? Paghirapan niya ako 'no!"

"That's my girl!" Gia high-fived me.

After our classes, Gia and I visited the SC Office para humingi ng updates about our upcoming events and to submit my project proposal for the after-party.

"Ang laki pala ng magagastos natin sa party. I can sign this already because it's very detailed and complete, but I don't think the admins will approve of this because of our limited budget." Astrid said after reviewing my proposal. I was planning to hire Lux, a famous band in the country to play for our party. Kaso ang mahal ng talent fee nila.

"Aside from that, you think wala nang magiging problem?" I asked.

"Yes, I think so. The party will be held inside the school grounds kaya wala naman tayong problema when it comes to safety. 'Yong budget lang talaga. Sa band pa lang will cost us 250,000 na agad. We have foods and drinks pa."

"Why don't you just get external financing? Let's look for sponsors."

Astrid nodded. "Pwede naman. You can write sa mga big brands asking for sponsorship. Makakatulong rin 'yon para ma-approve ang proposal mo."

"Okay. I'll start making the sponsorship letters tonight. Have you eaten dinner na? Let's go outside nila Gia."

"Sure, I'm starving na rin. And, piece of advice? Maybe you should ask your boyfriend to sponsor your event." Nakangiting sabi ni Astrid.

"Wala akong boyfriend. Wala pa." Sabi ko naman.

"Parang hindi naman 'yon ang narinig ko?" Tumingin siya kay Gia.

"Hoy, fake news ka! Masama yan, spreading fallacious news!" Sinamaan ko ng tingin si Gia.

"Hey, I'm innocent!"
