Flight MG-007: I Fell Hard

It was Saturday morning and I was sitting in my car in front of our house. Kakauwi ko lang galing sa condo at kinakabahan akong pumasok sa loob.

I replayed my conversation with Mason. Sabi niya ay nagkasalubong daw sila Kuya Cam sa airport at nagusap sila. And my brother warned him not to mess with me. Mason also reminded me to trust him.

Si Mason kasi minsan na nga lang magsalita, sa maling tao pa.

'Di ako prepared.

Naunahan pa tuloy ako magsabi sa kanila. Knowing my brothers, dapat inuunti unti ng information 'yon about my love life. Hindi pwedeng biglaan dahil magiging The Hulk 'yong tatlong 'yon!

I knew dad wouldn't get mad because he supports all my decisions. Hindi rin ako takot sa magiging reaksyon niya.

It's my brothers who I was afraid of.

They're overprotective and can be overbearing sometimes.

I sighed and parked my car in the garage. Lumabas na ako ng sasakyan at binuksan ang front door ng bahay.

Parang ang tahimik naman masyado?

I tiptoed my way inside and silently closed the door. The living room is empty.

Maybe all of them have flights today?

I scanned the whole house at mukhang clear naman.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag at dumeretso na paakyat. I was about to climb the stairs when my heart leaped out of my chest.

"Gabby," a stern voice said from behind.

Shit.

Fuck.

Lord help me.

I turned around to face my eldest brother. Lord, it's a good day to be alive.

"Hi, kuya! Good morning." Kinakabahan na sabi ko.

"Good morning. Come on, we've been waiting for you outside." Sabi niya.

Shit.

Pag wala nang kasunod na chapter 'to, ibig sabihin ay na murder na ako ng mga kapatid ko.

"Can I first place my things in my room?" Pagpapalusot ko.

"Leave it there. Paalis na rin ako papunta ng airport. But let's talk first." Tumalikod na siya at lumabas papunta sa backyard.

Sumunod na lang ako sa kaniya while practicing my speech.

Lord, please. Ikaw na po ang bahala sa'kin. Marami pa akong pangarap sa buhay. Please, let me survive today.

They were all outside and having coffee on the patio.

I went to my dad first to hug him for moral support.

"Hey, dad." I hugged him tightly and hid my face on his chest.

"Hey, baby Blair." He squeezed me. "Your brothers wanna talk to you, and I think you already know why." He grinned.

I gave him a small smile and faced my brothers. Now, I was positive that dad is on my side kaya hindi na rin ako umalis sa tabi niya.

I needed his protection.

It's a civil war. Pero si Thor and The Three Hulks ang magkalaban.

"You've been seeing Mason?" Agad agad na tanong ni Kuya Cam.

"Grabe, wala man lang, 'hello welcome home, we missed you' deretso ambush agad?" Sabi ko.

"Gab, you don't know him." Sabi ni Kuya Bray.
