Flight MG-025: Welcome Home

"...On behalf of all our crew, thank you for choosing Manila Airways as your airline today. Alpas, Pilipinas. Maraming Salamat." I announced to the passengers before we landed on Manila International Airport.

Pabalik-balik ako sa Boston dahil kay Gabby and I don't accept any other flights anymore, thanks to Corbyn who made it possible. Pagkatapos kasi ng one week conference ni Gabby sa Los Angeles, bumalik na rin siya ng Boston kung saan talaga siya nagtratrabaho.

I went straight to the Manila Airways' main office after I did the final check up on the cockpit. I have a meeting today with Corbyn's dad, Mr. Ayala, the Chairman of Ayala Aerospace Company, the sole owner of Manila Airways. They have been funding my project for the past eight years and we're about to launch the new aircraft I designed next week.

Pagkapasok ko ng boardroom ay naghihintay na roon si Corbyn. Bakit narito na naman ang loko lokong 'to?

"Anong ginagawa mo rito?" Tanong ko.

"Wala man lang, I miss you, Vin, it's been two weeks!" Pangaasar nito habang nakaupo sa swiveling chair sa gitna.

"'Di kita na-miss."

"Pagkatapos mo akong gamitin para makita ang iyong pinakamamahal na ex at pagkatapos kitang suportahan sa kalandian mo? User ka bro, sobrang sakit, it cut deep." Madramang sabi niya.

I sighed. It's too early for this. "Where's your dad?"

He grinned. "Ako na nasa harap mo maghahanap ka pa ng mas matanda? Pero parating na 'yon."

I nodded. "But, seriously, what are you doing here? Wala kang flight?"

Medyo nawala ang ngiti sa mukha niya at napahawak sa sentido niya. "Gusto ni dad na magtake over na ako sa company kaya pinapasama niya ako sa mga meetings niya. Ayoko naman non! Isipin mo ako uupo sa mga meeting? Bro, I cannot!"

"You're right. Kawawa naman ang mga aattend ng meeting kasama ka."

"Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence."

I smirked. "Anytime."

He flipped me the bird and I laughed.

The boardroom door suddenly opened and Mr. Ayala walked in.

"Mr. Ayala, good afternoon po."

"Drop the honorifics, Max, tayo tayo lang naman " He grinned as he sat on his chair.

"Of course, Tito Vince."

"Good. So, let's talk about the event next week. I was already briefed by my secretary about the meeting you had two weeks ago regarding the launching. Are you ready for next week?"

"Yes, tito, everything's going our way and running smoothly."

"Well, that's good. Marami tayong maa-attract na investors after they see your design. This is a breakthrough in aerospace industry, Mason."

"Thank you, tito. I hope na mas dumami pa ang investors so we could produce more aircrafts."

"Now that we are being backed up by France, I'm sure the business will do well." The aircraft I designed was actually a new model of Airbus.

"Now that we're talking about business, I'll go straight to the point. I want you to be a part of the company. Not just our pilot and engineer, but as a board member. Corbyn's already taking over the company and I would be at peace knowing that both of you are leading the company."

My brows shot up and flew to Corbyn. He smirked at me before nodding, telling me that he already knew about this.

"Are you sure about this, Tito?"
