Miraculous Ladybug Oneshots

Ladynoir #3 ~ Rescue ~

      Usually when Ladybug and Chat Noir were fighting akumas, there was a standard way things went. An akumatized victim appeared, Chat made some puns, they fought for a while, Chat made some puns, Ladybug spotted the object the akuma was in and came up with a plan to get it, Chat made some puns while helping her to complete her plan, they freed the akuma, Chat made some puns, Ladybug purified the akuma, restored any damage that had been done and then they went their separate ways. Obviously, Ladybug was very important to that process, so when she got hit by the akuma, well, Chat kind of figured he was screwed.

       This particular akuma (called Bully-Dog) apparently wasn't happy that she kept finding stray dogs throughout the city and the fact that the dog shelter she volunteered at was running out of money, so now she was trying to destroy all of the houses in Paris and make the people strays. Not only that, but she was also trying to make all of the people in the houses follow her to the dog shelter, where they would be forced to live. Unfortunately for Chat, Ladybug got licked by the akuma and started acting like a dog.

      Nothing seemed to fix her, not taps, or slaps, or even Chat kissing her cheek (he didn't want to kiss her on the lips without her permission). All she wanted to do was follow Bully-Dog to the dog shelter, and eventually Chat was forced to let her.

       That was how he ended up hiding on a window ledge while people crawled around with their noses in the air sniffing for him. He didn't really know how to fix the situation, since he wasn't usually the one who came up with the plans. Still, he knew that whatever happened, he was going to get Ladybug back.

       The first step in his quickly coming together plan was to figure out where the akuma was. Usually the object was something important or related to the victim's power, so Chat made sure to keep an eye out for anything that looked dog related on Bully-Dog. In only a couple of seconds of watching he pinpointed the belt that Bully-Dog wore, which had an otherwise cute dog charm with angry eyebrows drawn on it. It was clearly where the akuma had landed, and now Chat just had to get it. So, he did what he did best. Making puns.

      "Dog-gone," he said casually, stepping out from behind a wall to face Bully-Dog. "This seems to be a pup-ular place. What brings you here?"

      "You," Bully-Dog seethed, catching sight of the hero.

      "Me," Chat faked surprise and put a hand on his chest. "I didn't think I was the reason fur you coming, but I'm honored."

      "Oh, shut up," the akuma-victim bared her teeth. She wasn't too intimidating, since she was only the size of a pit bull, but Chat's inner cat was secretly terrified of her. Absolutely terrified.

      "You seem a little melon-Collie," he commented to hide his fear. "Can I help?"

      "Yes," Bully-Dog seemed oddly relaxed. "By helping me take over Paris and giving me your Miraculous!" At that second she leaped towards Chat, who easily dodged but was set on guard in case of another attack.

      "No can do," Chat shrugged. He pushed his baton into the ground and launched himself into the air, doing a flip so he could reach down and pull off the puppy charm belt. He succeeded and snapped the thing in half by slamming it into his knee.

      "Oh, no, you don't," he said, grabbing the akuma before it could fly away. It hurt him slightly, but he was forced to cataclysm the butterfly so that it couldn't continue to cause harm. Now he just really, really needed to find Ladybug.

      "M'lady?" he called, running through the dozens of dogified people. "M'lady?!"

      Finally, he spotted her, but she was still sitting on her heels, panting. She was still acting like a dog. That was not good.

      "M'lady?" Chat reached towards her slowly. "Can I have your yo-yo?"

      Ladybug looked up at him, but she didn't react to what he said at all.

      "Okay," he muttered and grabbed her yo-yo quickly before she could stop him.

      "I guess I have to use Lucky Charm first," he tilted his head slightly. So he tossed the yo-yo in the air and then caught the object that fell down to him. It was a simple piece of paper that said Great job, Chat Noir! and a smiley face on it. Tikki was so much nicer than Plagg!

      "Now, for the real show," Chat smirked. "Miraculous Ladybug!" he tossed the paper into the air and watched the ladybugs fly through the city, repairing people and property that had been damaged during the battle. Chat set his hands on his hips and nodded proudly, happy that he had been able to save his city by himself and prove that he deserved his Miraculous.

      "Kitty?" he heard a confused voice asking. "Why do you have my yo-yo?"

      "Sorry, M'lady," Chat turned and set the yo-yo back into Ladybug's hand. "I needed it for a bit."

       Ladybug shook her head but smiled. "Thanks Kitty. You really saved the day."

       "Anything for you, M'lady," Chat grinned.
