Chapter XX

No mentoring today.

I jumped off my bed when my phone buzzed. Jayden haven't texted me since the game. I had been waiting for him to text me first so I could talk to him, baka kasi pag-inunahan ko, ma-bad trip at awayin ako.

I sighed. I don't know why but I'm quite disappointed that I'm not going to see him today, I wanted to help him manage his anger on the court sana. But it's somehow a good thing since what Aki told me won't get off my mind, "...someone is unofficially owning him."

I bet she's pertaining to that Felicity. I'm starting to think she's just imaginary since I haven't even seen her support at least one of Jayden's games.

I was about to open my laptop to do my papers when I heard quick footsteps approaching my room.

"Hoy babae, si JJ mo nasa labas!" Cara was catching for her breath after she opened my room's door.

"What the fuck?" I mumbled.

My phone buzzed.

From: Jayden Natividad

Baba.

I wore my denim jacket and went downstairs.

"What?" I asked him when he was lowering his driver's window.

He's wearing shades and his hair is pushed back, but that unusual look surprisingly suits him. His hair being fixed like this is emphasizing his jaw more.

"I thought walang mentoring?" I asked him, but he just remained silent. "Why are you wearing shades? Do you have sore eyes?"

"Dami mong tanong. Just hop in."

"Are you kidding? I haven't even taken a bath, 'tsaka ayokong mahawa sa sore eyes mo 'no," I rolled my eyes.

"Dude, 'di naman kita aamuyin, at wala akong sore eyes."

"Jayden, you better leave before Tita Vien catches us."

He shook his head, "Cara got it."

"Hi!" I was startled when Cara spoke, she was standing behind me the whole time.

If this is kidnapping, Cara is the accomplice!

"Wala naman si Mommy dito ngayon eh, and ako na ang bahalang gumawa ng excuse kung hahanapin ka man niya," she flashed a big smile.

Before I left my position, what Aki told me replayed on my head.

"No one would get mad if we're together?" I asked him.

"Huh?" he replied with confusion on his voice.

"No one would get jealous if I'll go with you?"

"What are you talking about, red head? Sakay na," he commanded me in a serious tone.

I sighed before getting on the front seat. If someone will get mad, bahala na siya since he was the one who forced me to come with him naman.

"Thanks, Cara," Jayden said before starting the engine.

Cara waved goodbye before the car left.

"What is up with you? I thought walang mentoring?" I asked, he showed me a smile.

"Pero hindi ko sinabing hindi tayo magkikita," he said while manipulating the steering wheel.
