I almost fell on my feet after hearing what Tita Vien had told me. I don't know how to react and know what to do, but I know I only wanted one thing...

And that is to be with papa right now.

"J-Jayden, let's go," I pulled him while he was still taking a sip from his drink.

"Wait, why---"

"Basta, let's leave now," I cut him off and began to walk faster.

"Teka, teka, 'yung shades ko," I turned at his direction and nahulog nga 'yung eyeglasses niya dahil sa bilis kong magglakad.

His face is highly visible now because he wasn't wearing his mask since he was drinking. Only the jacket's hood was protecting his identity.

"Shit," I mumbled. "Hold on, keep your head low. Ako na ang kukuha."

I traced back the places where we passed and found his shades.

"JJ Natividad!" before I can even come back, a girl already recognized him.

She called her other friends and went towards Jayden's direction.

"Gosh," I tried going back to his spot to him, but he started running towards the mall's fire exit.

The group of girls were chasing him, but he managed to shut the fire exit before they could even follow him inside. They are blocking the hallway towards the fire exit, hindi talaga ako makakapasok doon.

"Damn it, how am I gonna supposed to go home then?" I mumbled to myself.

Before I could take a seat at one of the benches, my phone rang. It was Jayden.

Jayden: Alyx...

Me: Hey, how are we gonna head home? Where are we meeting? I have to go home now, Jayden. We have to leave now.

Jayden: Calm down. There's another fire exit near the grocery. Pumasok ka doon at may susundo sa 'yo.

Me: Okay okay.

Jayden: Ingat, bye.

I followed his instruction, and there was a mall staff waiting for me by the door.

"Follow me, ma'am,"  he told me with a smile.

I forced a smile to him before he escorted me to Jayden. He's sitting at the sofa inside the mall's admin building.

"See? I told you, I got it," Jayden flashed a wide smile, but I just looked at him with a dull face.

"Hey, what's wrong? Bakit bigla kang nagmadaling umuwi?" his eyebrows furrowed.

I sat beside him, "Wala, can we just go home now?"

"No, tell me what's wrong," he insisted.

I released a sigh before I started talking.

"M-My Papa has post-traumatic amnesia right after he woke up. Tita said he'd been freaking out after knowing that Mama is gone. He's been looking for me too, and he said he will not calm down unless he sees mama or me," my voice cracked.

"Damn bro, that's tough," Jayden held my hand. "Don't worry, uuwi 'rin tayo agad. Pinakuha ko lang 'yung sasakyan sa car park at kinokontrol pa 'yung mga tao sa labas."

A tear started forming in my eye. I can't imagine Papa's situation right now. I shouldn't have left. My papa loved my mama so much so him knowing that she's gone must be really painful for him.
