"It's nice to finally meet you, Lyx!" Cara squealed while the helpers were serving dinner on the dining table.

I get it why Cara was so happy of my arrival, tita told me she'd been always wanting a sister.

It feels so great to finally supper with somebody. I was eating fast food alone for a week after the incident, but it already felt like forever for me.

"I missed you so much, darling," I beamed as Tita handed me the bowl of rice.

I've just realized that I'm dead lucky despite all the unfortunate events. I have a Tita who'll never leave me whatever happens and a Cara who's really happy to have me.

"Kuha ka pa anak, don't be shy," who would've thought I could still eat home food even though Mama's gone?
Papa and I doesn't know how to cook so I got so scared that I couldn't taste anything like these foods ever again.

"Opo tita, thank you," I nodded even though I'm still trying to get back to my good appetite.

"I can't wait to go to school with you na. You know what? Ang swerte mo, kasi you're musically inclined. Naku, ako? I've always dreamed of joining a band pero... not for me talaga eh," Cara chuckled and shook her head.

"By the way Lyx, here's your phone while you stay here. Nariyan na sa contacts ang number ko, ni Cara, ng driver mo, at ng band," Tita handed me a box.

She doesn't have to do this. Nahihiya na talaga ako lalo na't she hired a driver. This is just too much, I know my family was also well off, but I've never experienced this kind of luxury before. My parents chose to live our life the other way around.

"Do I really need a driver?" I asked.

"Lyx, you'll need one, believe me. Magkaiba tayo ng cars kasi we have different scheds naman on some days of the week. So you'll really need a driver, and a phone to contact him," Cara explained

I nodded and grabbed the box.

"Thank you so much, I-I'm out of words," I looked down.

"We got you," Cara tapped my arm.

I remembered that I was going to ask Tita something, "Tita uhm by the way, about my memory box..."

She nodded, "...nasaan na po 'yung mga laman?"

"Darling, as far as I can remember, pagkakuha namin ng mga natitirang gamit niyo sa Las Nieves, wala na iyong laman. And it's also kind of weird kasi sa ilalim ng puno ng mangga pa namin nahanap 'yung kahon," I looked at her with a face confused.

Hindi ko naman dinala sa US ang mga laman noon and I think we left the box in the garage, not under the mango tree. That's just so mysterious.

It's my first day at school today and I feel kind of anxious. People here are way too friendly for me, so I'm not sure if they're being genuine. Students at States usually don't care about the newbies, but here, you're the main topic of gossips.

I thought we'll have a uniform here or I'll get scolded about my hair color because mama told me before that colleges in the Philippines are strict. But this school is different, they don't care about how you dress and look.

Travis sighed on the line, "Did you see the brick pavements? You just have to follow it until you reach the Arts Building, may name 'yun sa harap."

I'm on my way to this university's music studio, but I got lost. Travis had been telling me the directions for like 30 minutes now, but the landmarks he's instructing me doesn't match to what I see. I feel like I'm in a maze.
