Ako ang Iyong Tahanan (ON GOING)

Chapter XXX

"Jusko, Cara," I was about to fall asleep when I heard Tita Vien's voice. 

I checked the clock, and it's already 1 AM. I quickly ran downstairs to check what happened.

It was Cara, lying on the floor, with her hair all messed up. I quickly ran towards their direction. When I got near, I noticed that Cara was crying.

"Nay, please get Cara a glass of water," Tita ordered one of our helpers.

"Hey Ca, what happened?" I hurriedly helped Tita Vien to get Cara up.

"Maybe the guys that we wished for aren't really meant to be ours. Maybe they just existed in our lives to teach a lesson," Cara said.

She is for sure drunk because he sound and smell like one.

Tita and I dragged her towards the couch. The helper handed her the glass of water. She's still crying and mumbling words. Cara was always demure and proper, so it's my first time seeing her this messy.

"Hay naku, ito talaga 'yung sinasabi ko eh," Tita was slightly panicking while she's dialing someone on her phone.

"Cara, drink more," I handed her the glass of water, but she flicked it away. Buti na lang at hindi natapon. 

She seems sad and mad.

"Hold on, I'll just thank Travis for taking her home," Tita told me before she walked away with her phone. 

I held Cara's hand. I've never seen Cara this miserable. I saw her cry before, but it wasn't this intense.

"What happened at the party ba?" I asked her and she just shook her head while wiping her tears."Come on, tell me." 

I should hear her out. In my down times, she has always been there to listen. Now, it's my time to pay her back.

"Hiro rejected me. He didn't just reject me, he humiliated me."

"What the hell?" I suddenly clenched my fist. 

I kind of already expected that Hiro would reject Cara, but not up to that extent.

"But he was drunk when he did it so it's okay."

"No Cara. Can you not cover him up? Hiro being drunk doesn't justify what he did to you," I explained. 

She cried harder. Malala talaga siguro inabot nito kanina. I moved beside her and patted her back.

"Pinahiya niya ako sa harap ng team, ng mga kapatid niya, ng mga kaibigan niya," her voice cracked. 

I could never imagine Hiro doing it!

"I had a few shots of tequila tapos ayon medyo tipsy na ako. Nakakainis ba't pa ba kasi ako lumapit sa kaniya?" she punched the sofa.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. Go on," I stopped her from smacking the couch.

"P-Pinuntahan ko siya habang umiinom siya with the team. Tapos wala sa sarili ko siyang tinanong kung meron ba talaga akong pag-asa sa kaniya or hanggang dito na lang ba talaga kami. I am getting tired na sa ganitong sistema, Lyxie, kaya I was really eager to know if ano ba talaga ako sa kaniya."

I nodded.

"Tapos bigla na lang siyang tumayo sa bar counter. He started introducing me to everybody as babaeng patay na patay 'raw sa kaniya," she started catching for her breath. "He exposed everything that I did for him, the gifts I gave him, the words I told him. Gusto kong magpa-lamon sa lupa, Lyxie. I never thought I've been liking an asshole all this time. Parang sampal sa mukha ko kung gaano ako ka-patay na patay sa kaniya dahil sa mga sinabi niya."
