Me: Are you sure na hindi ka susunod? I mean it's the last and the most crucial game of the team this elims. If matatalo sila, they're out.
Cara: Hays, I know naman Lyxie. Basta sinabi ko naman na 'di ba? I'm not watching any of their live games again.
Me: Fine, can you at least turn on the TV para updated ka naman?
Cara: Yes, oo na, baka nakakadistorbo pa ako sa inyo diyan ni JJ eh.
"Medyo," Jayden butted in to our phone call.
My phone is connected to his car's Bluetooth, so Cara and I's call is audible inside the car.
Cara: Shut up, JJ. Gusto mo bawiin ko si Lyxie sa 'yo?
Me: Shhh tama na haha you both sound like kids. Bye, Ca. See you later.
Cara: Hahaha bye love birds, ingat.
"Dati nasastar-struck pa 'yun sa 'yo, ngayon shinu-shut up ka nalang," I told Jayden after ending the call.
We both chuckled.
"Sus parehas lang naman kayo. Dati nga kupal tawag mo sakin eh, ngayon love na?" he teased me.
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes.
"Play your playlist now," he ordered me.
"Oh, right," I tapped the Spotify icon on my phone and played my playlist named "My Brand."
Jayden made my phone connect to his car because he wanted to hear more of the songs I like 'raw. He was impressed with what I recommended him the last time, so he became really interested to the songs I listen to.
"I'll just put this on shuffle so you'll get shock about how broad my music taste is," I told him while smiling.
"Sure, surprise me," he took a glance of me and showed me a side smile.
I'm sure Jayden is just nervous about the game that's why he suddenly wanted music while driving. We're on our way to the arena now, and I don't know if the team could handle the defending champs without Jayden. They are the same team that got Jayden suspended the last time. I just hope that there would be no brawls this time, we can't afford an injury or another ejection tonight.
"I like this song too," he said as he took a turn on his steering wheel.
The song "Lucky" by Jason Mraz featuring Colbie Caillat played. This was Joben and I's jam before. I used to play this in my guitar while we both sing. He sings Jason's part, I got Colbie's. This coincidence is driving me crazy.
"Hey, you alright?" he asked me when he noticed that I didn't respond to what he just said.
"O-Of course, I am," I gave him a smile to stop him from worrying.
"Then sing for me, baby. Sing Colbie's part," Jayden commanded me.
"O-Okay," I cleared my throat while waiting for the chorus to end.
"Though the breezes through the trees..." I closed my eyes while singing.
How Joben and I jammed under our mango tree was still fresh in my memory.
"Move so pretty you're all I see..."
This song is like a statue built in memory of him. This had always been marked as "my song for Joben" since the lyrics spoke about my actual feelings for him before.
