Chapter XVI

"Ako talaga 'yung nase-stress para sa 'yo," Cara showed me her phone while covering her eyes.

Someone took a video of Jayden carrying me while we were on the party, it went viral on Twitter and Facebook. Good thing, my face wasn't visible from the camera's angle and the lights were dimmed.

Though 'di ako kita, naku-kunsensya pa 'rin ako. I always get him into trouble. The netizens even thought that I'm his wild girlfriend. Ever since that night, he never texted me. I won't be surprised if he'd be mad with me this time, I already screwed him up too much.

I couldn't remember most of the things that I did that night. The last thing I could recall was when I thanked him. Everything after it was all vague.

"I bet he's mad with me right now. Nakakahiya, I haven't even paid back from all the things that he did to me, but I already caused him another trouble," I told Cara.

"The Beast binuhat ang isang lasing na babaeng mukhang beast, girlfriend niya kaya? What the hell? Who makes these headlines?" Cara crossed her arms after reading an article.

"Let me see," I grabbed her phone and scrolled down.

"JJ NATIVIDAD, MAY GIRLFRIEND NA?"

"JJ NATIVIDAD TOOK HOME HIS DRUNK GF"

"MAHILIG PALA SA WILD GIRLS ANG THE BEAST?"

Muntik ko nang ibato 'yung phone ni Cara sa sobrang inis. The paparazzi here is way wilder than at US's, kung maka-conclude naman daig pa ako. It's like wherever Jayden goes, there's a camera waiting for him to mess up.

"Damn it," I rolled my eyes while scrolling.

Cara released a deep sigh, "'Yung panyo niya pala kailan mo ibabalik?"

I almost forgot that his hanky is still with me if Cara did not remind me. Travis handed me this a while ago, he said I left this in his car last Saturday. I didn't know who owns it until I smelled it, I know it's Jayden's

"Though this like a suicide mission, I'll take this back to him today. Do you have any idea where he is right now?" I asked Cara.

I must face him, I want to apologize to him as soon as possible. Even if he'll break his promise and hit me, okay lang, deserve ko naman.

Cara checked her watch, "He's probably at the basketball gym kung nagpa-practice na siya ngayon."

I immediately pulled Cara and headed to the gym.

"Hoy Lyxie, their practices are always closed door. Paano tayo makakapasok?" Cara asked.

I didn't reply and just continued to drag her.

When we reached the gym's front door, naka-lock nga. I dialed Jayden's number.

"Sino 'yan?" Cara asked.

"Jayden," I simply replied.

"Ay taray, may number ka na niya? Mukhang may something na ah, inggit ako," Cara pouted as she cross her arms.

His phone was just ringing.

"Baka nagsa-start na 'yung practice kaya 'di sumasagot," Cara told me when she saw me dialing him for the second time.

Despite of what she said, I still took chances and dialed his phone for several more times, but he still didn't answer. So, I decided to just leave him a message.

To: Jayden Natividad

Hey, sorry abt what happened last Sat. Parang mainit kasi yung media sayo ngayon bc of me. I wanted to talk to you in person. Cara and I are actually here outside the bball gym the moment I sent this text, but you seem busy. So pls reply to me once na you're not busy na. But if you're mad, sige, it's okay for me if you won't reply, deserve ko naman.
