Ako ang Iyong Tahanan (ON GOING)

Chapter XXIX

"Same spot!" Cara giggled while we were making our way to our usual seat in the arena.

 I don't know where Cara gets her tickets, every game naming nakukuha 'tong seats na 'to eh.

"I'm excited! I know they'll win this game," she told me as we settled on our chairs.

 Today is the first game of their last three games.

"Yes, exactly," I agreed.

I wandered my eye around the arena, the teams are already warming up. I'm not sure if Jayden will watch the games today because he's nowhere to be found. Even though it's almost impossible, I hope he won't come, the image of our position last Thursday is still giving me chills. 

"Where's JJ?" Cara asked me. 

She has no idea that Jayden and I fought.

"I-I have no idea," I swallowed.

"Text mo kaya," she ordered me. 

"Ayoko," I sighed.

"Over ka ha? Parang sobrang bigat ng pinapagawa ko sa 'yo," she gave me a weird stare.

"AHHHK!" Cara and I were startled when a group of girls suddenly screamed. 

Jayden arrived and he's wearing a white shirt, matched with a Lakers jersey. He's also wearing a white cap and black Kyrie kicks. Jayden looks so attractive in a street wear.

"Speaking of," Cara pursed her lip while poking my arm. 

"I know, I see him, may mata 'rin ako," I flicked her hand away with my arm.

He waved to the whole arena with a huge beam on his face, celebrity material talaga. Well, he deserves the spotlight that he's getting naman, it actually suits him being up there. 

Our eyes met before he sat at the team's bench. I was about to give him a smile, but he just looked at me quickly like I was nobody. Or I guess, I am really a nobody for him now? 

I hate this feeling, and I hate him for treating me this way, butI was the one who made him do this to me.

"Ay, 'di man lang nag-smile?" Cara asked me when she noticed that Jayden was acting coldly to me.

"H-He just doesn't want the people to get suspicious on us," I stuttered.

"Ay wow, may us na pala kayo ah?" 

My head started hurting with this girl. Just before I could respond to her accusation, the announcer interrupted us by calling out each player.

Ang opponent ng team ngayon, nakaharap na nila dati. They already won against them twice, and Jayden was even injured that time, so I'm pretty confident that they'll get the W again today.

As expected, the game was not that intense, our team was leading the whole time by 20 points

During the halftime, I received a text from Syd.

From: Syd Venus

Heeeey! I know masyado pang maaga para dito but... THERE'S A CELEBRATION AT WATANABE'S AFTER THE GAME. Ikr halftime pa lang and may two quarters pa pero lamang na tayo ng bente oooh, panalo na 'yan sus. Btw, si Ate Reiko nag-utos sa aking i-invite kayo hehe, siya kasi naghanda ng party. And dito na siya naki-text kasi wala daw kasi siyang number niyo. Ok bye see you two later!!!

"You received the text as well?" I asked Cara when I saw her placing her phone back to her bag.

"Yes, are you going? Of course, you are."
