Chapter XXXVII

Jayden's mom's cruel plans had been lingering on my mind for days. I badly wanted to have a word with Aki so that the three of us could team up. We're always together for band practices, but I never had the guts to talk to him. Ever since their party kasi, we didn't talk that much. He'll just speak to me if he'd tell me something band related.

"Lyxie, uy!" Cara snapped at the front of my face.

"Tatlong beses ka na niyang tinawag," Sydney told me while sipping on her drink.

"Sorry, I just got zoned out," I quickly shook my head to ground myself.

The three of us are having a lunch at a restaurant outside school. I cannot have lunch with Jayden anymore since they are being housed in the athletes' village now, and he must have his meals with the team all throughout the finals. We ate outside the school since we already have no classes and the female students there hate me. Isa pa 'yan sa nagpapabigat ng loob ko these days. They don't just look at me sharply like before, they're saying mean words on my face now.

"You're zoning out a lot these days, ayos ka lang?" Cara asked me with a hint of concern on her voice.

"O-Of course, bakit hindi?" I faked a smile.

"Eh paano? Girlfriend ni Captain JJ kaya maraming haters," Sydney shook her head. "'Wag mo na lang silang pansinin, Lyx. Eh kahit ano namang gawin nila hindi na nila maaagaw si JJ sa 'yo."

"Yeah. And I've told you guys, I'm fine so don't worry about me," I took a bite from my burger after tellling them.

"CR lang ako," Cara told us before standing up.

Sydney and I just nodded. Her phone suddenly rang.

"Hold on, I have to take this, it's Travis," she told me before answering the call.

I nodded before she headed outside.

I was left alone with my food now. I was taking a sip from my drink when someone suddenly hit my chair's leg. It caused my glass of juice to flip over after being hit with my straw. The juice spilled all over my shorts and white shirt.

"What the hell?" I stood up and faced the person who did this to me.

I saw a girl my age grinning at me with her arms crossed. I looked at the table beside us and saw some other girls who were laughing while filming us. I have this feeling that they are her friends.

"Oh sorry, Alyx. Hindi ko sinasadyang matamaan 'yung chair mo," the girl told me, she sounded so insincere.

"How did you know me?" I faced the girl who was filming us. "And can you please stop filming us? What is that for?"

"How did we know you? Of course, your face is all over the internet. Ikaw lang naman 'yung higad na feel na feel ang yakap kay JJ 'di ba?"

She's starting to get on my nerves.

"What did you just fucking say?" I gripped on her right arm tightly.

She better shut up at baka ano pang magawa ko sa kaniya.

"Oh my God, I got that on tape!" the girl who was holding the camera said.

They're teaming up against me! I can't do a thing because someone's filming and baka kumalat na naman. I removed my hand from her arm.

"What is happening? Why are you so wet, Alyx?" Cara asked me upon arriving from the restroom.
