"S-Sino 'yung papatayin ng fans?" Tita Vien asked us while she walked down the stairs.
I swallowed and looked away. I am so doomed because of Cara's big mouth again.
"G-Good morning, Mommy," Cara looked at my direction with a worried face. "Ang aga mo po 'ata today?"
"Yeah, may scheduled procedure kasi ako mamayang 7 AM," she sat on the kabisera, I was at her left while Cara was on her right. "Sino pala 'yung pinag-uusapan niyo?"
I pretended to not hear her and just reached for the bowl of rice. I kicked Cara's foot under the table to inform her that she should be the one explaining since siya 'yung nag-ingay.
"Aw!" Cara yelled and quickly took a glance of me.
I bit my lip and blinked at her, siya ang dapat magpaliwanag because it's her big mouth's fault.
"What's wrong?" Tita looked at us with a confused face.
She alternately switched her gaze between Cara and me.
"Girls, nagtatanong ako, sino 'yung sinasabi niyong aawayin ng fans?"
There was a moment of silence until Cara decided to talk.
"Lyxie, sabihin mo na lang. Hindi 'yan titigil si Mommy hangga't 'di natin sinasagot," Cara told me as if her Mommy isn't here.
I released a deep sigh and closed my eyes before speaking.
"Ako po."
"Why, Alyx? What happened?" Tita held my hand that is resting on the top of the dining table.
"This video of Jayden and I hugging each other yesterday after the game went viral. H-His fans didn't like it so they're probably mad at me right now," I told her while looking at my plate in front of me.
"You were hugging?" Tita asked.
"Y-Yes," I quickly took a glance of Tita.
I stared at Cara who is now biting her lips and playing with her fingers. She seemed nervous as well.
"Are you and Jayden together?" Tita asked me in a serious tone.
I swallowed and bit my lip. My mouth parted but I really wasn't sure what was I going to say. I don't want to hide it from Tita anymore, but I'm also afraid on what would be her reaction if I tell her.
Anxious thoughts started entering my mind again. What if she's against us? What if she'd be disappointed of me? What if she'd get mad since Jayden's mom and her still got beef?
"It's alright, you don't have to answer," I released a sigh of relief when I saw Tita flash a smile.
"Alam mo Alyx, matanda na ako. Alam ko na 'yan kapag may namamagitan sa dalawang tao. Sa pag-sundo niya pa lang sa 'yo dito lagi, it's already obvious. I also hear you having a conversation with him on the phone sometimes. I already know the answer to my question pero tinanong lang kita para siguraduhin kung tama nga ba ang iniisip ko. And with you trying to avoid answering it is actually a sign of confirmation in my prespective," Tita explained.
I don't know what to reply, Tita knew it all this time! Good thing, she didn't get mad. It actually looks like she's super okay with it.
"Kung takot ka man na aminin 'yun sa akin, let me tell you this, it's fine with me," she ran her fingers through my hair. "I'm not against in whatever you two have. I'm just a little concerned. Kung si Jayden lang ang pag-uusapan, wala akong problema. Napaka-masunusrin at magalang na bata. My problem is with his mother..." She was about to tell me more, but she paused and pursed her lips.
