Chapter XV

"Look at these two, parang kalian lang trending pa 'yung away niyo ah? Ngayon magkasama na sa kotse?" Sydney teased us as she stuffed a handful of chips on her mouth.

I didn't know that the Watanabes have a mini bar around here. Akala ko it'll just be an intimate drinking session with the band, Hiro, Kansas, and Jayden, but this ended up being a mini party with a bunch of people that I don't know.

Ever since I was at Cali, I'm not really into parties. Aside sa gitgitan, I also hated loud noises and dancing people. Everything that i hate about this world are found at parties.

I faked a filthy look to Jayden, "Paano, Cara left me with him."

He just looked at me with his dead eyes. He left Sydney and I hanging. He didn't do and say anything but Sydney was already convinced.

"Masungit talaga 'yan," Sydney whispered.

Sydney took me around and saw familiar faces. I saw that Parker guy fighting with her girlfriend, the other familiar players, but I forgot their names, and the stage director from our gig earlier. I guess this is a small celebration for our successful song debut and Hiroki's clutch shot.

"Alyx made it!" Sydney squealed upon seeing the band.

The twins stopped playing beer pong and Travis lifted his head from his phone.

"Grabe, I thought you're not coming. Magtatampo sana talaga ako," Aki pouted.

"How can I say no to all of you?" I beamed.

He offered me a cup of beer, but I said no, the irony.

"Sige na, Lyx. Minsan lang naman 'to oh. Wala namang pasok bukas," he insisted.

"Fine," I grabbed the cup and chugged it.

The problem is I don't freaking know if I have a high or low tolerance on alcohol since I don't drink. Maybe a cup of beer won't hurt naman, I have no idea! Pero bahala na, there's Travis and Sydney that will take me home if ever I get wasted.

"Shall I get you another one?" Aki asked.

"Tama na," I chuckled so thay I won't sound serious.

"What? Party's boring without alcohol," Travis told me.

"Tigilan mo nga siya, Cara told me na hindi siya umiinom. Ako na lang ikuha mo, please," Sydney showed a sweet smile as she moved me away from Aki.

"Acting tough? I'll leave you here if susuka ka," Travis threatened Syd as he drank from his cup.

"Che, mga kj! Ako na nga lang kukuha para sa sarili ko," Syd rolled her eyes.

"Seems like you and Jayden are becoming close ah," Aki opened up right after Sydney left.

"Uhm, not at all. Sorry but your cousin is really an asshole," I hope I convinced him so that he would stop asking.

Akio is a really smart guy, so if he'll continue asking me questions, I'm sure he'll catch me about Jayden and I's secret.

"Oh? He even waited nga for you para sabay kayong pumunta sa arena."

"H-Ha? No, it just happened because he wanted to see our performance first before seeing the game. Then when I was about to leave, saktong he's about to leave as well kaya sumabay na lang ako. Nasiraan kasi 'yung kotse ko," I tried to cover up.
