kaede was ( y / c )'s girlfriend, and the two of them had been dating for a couple months now. their relationship was starting to get fairly serious, and they had their first kiss about a week ago. so you could say things were going really well between the two of them- they both really liked each other, and loved spending time with one another.
the two of them ended up going to a house party together soon after. kaede said she'd always wanted to go to one, but she didn't feel secure going alone. ( y / c ) had agreed to come with, and kaede had promised not to drink so she could drive the both of them home. not like kaede was the type of person to drink alcohol, anyways, especially being underage.
they were both having the time of their lives when kaede told ( y / c ) that she had to go to the bathroom, and there was no line, promising she'd be back in a minute. they nodded, and kaede left.
a minute passed. kaede wasn't back yet.
five minutes. ten. she still wasn't back.
worried for her safety, ( y / c ) started walking around, trying to find her. a couple minutes later, they succeeded, but instead of feeling relieved to see her, their heart dropped in their chest.
a taller boy that ( y / c ) recognized from school had one hand wrapped tightly around kaede's waist, pulling her in, and one hand lifting up her chin- so that his lips meant hers. they were kissing. kaede didn't make any visible attempt to pull away from the kiss, but if ( y / c ) happened to look close enough, they could notice how stiff she looked.
