it'd been a few suspiciously quiet days at the ultimate academy for gifted juveniles. there were morning and nighttime announcements from the monokubs, but nothing from monokuma. it put (y/c) a bit on edge, but that paled in comparison to the relief that they felt from knowing that the bear wasn't doing anything to encourage them to kill each other. not having a motive made them feel safe.
nevertheless, when it was time for lunch, (y/c) decided that they wanted to head down with somebody else. kaede akamatsu's door caught their eye, reminding them that they hadn't really seen the pianist at all today. they went and knocked on her door, expecting to be greeted at the door in a few seconds with a bright smile and a 'hello'. instead, it sounded like there was a sharp gasp from inside. (y/c) waited a few seconds, hoping kaede would come to the door, but she didn't. was she okay? was she hurt?
