earlier on in the day, kaede had pulled (y/c) off to the side, whispering something to them. " hey , " she'd started, looking around cautiously. " i found out something about the mastermind . we can't talk about it here , though , somebody might hear . can you meet me in the library at midnight ? " her expression was sincere, and she looked incredibly nervous. this must have been really serious. they agreed, and kaede let out a sigh of relief, thanking them and continuing on their way.
that night, they made their way to the library, being sure to stay quiet as they left the dorm complex so they wouldn't wake anybody and alert them to what was going on. they eventually arrived at the library, but hesitated when they saw that the room was almost entirely dark inside. they called kaede's name, getting no response. starting to get a bad feeling about this, and about kaede's safety, they stepped inside to turn on the lights.
no sooner had they clicked the lights on than they felt themselves roughly shoved into the wall behind them, and cold metal at their neck. a knife.
kaede had (y/c) pinned to the wall by one hand, and holding a knife to their throat with the other. she looked... scared? " if you call for the exisals , i w - won't hesitate to kill you , right here and now , " she stuttered out.
