Flash back

"Happy Birthday, Y/N!" Your mom exclaimed excitedly.

Opening your eyes, you saw a yellow mustang. You were in desperate need a new car.

"Mom!" You squealed mirroring the same excitement.

"I love it!"

"It...It was dad's." She stated with a frown.

"He said if anything ever happened to him, he wanted you to have it."

Frowning, a ping of sadness coursed through your veins.

"It was dads? I...I can't take it."

"Don't be sill, Y/N. He wanted you to have it."

You let out a hesitant sigh.

With a toothy grin she responded. "He named it Bumblebee."

Present Day

Sighing, you rolled over. It was another sleepless night. Tossing the blankets off, you tumbled out of bed. Making your way down to your car you decided to go for a late night drive. Sitting on the hood of Bumblebee, you gazed at the city lights. The city that never sleeps, truly didn't.

"Figured I could find you here." A deep voice sounded.

"What, did you have my car bugged?" You huffed.

"Actually, yes." Nick responded.

"I brought re-enforcement's if need be."

"Hey Cap, Cap's friends." You greeted.

Nick hesitated. "How...How did you know?"

"It's a secret." You teased, turning to face the men.

"Why haven't you been answering your phone?" Nick questioned.

Scoffing you rolled your eyes. "What's it to ya?"

"Your father would be disappointed."

Frowning your gaze fell to the grassy path before the car.

"He would want you to join us. To do what's right."

"How do you know what's right huh?" You snapped, voice cracking.

"Y/N..."

Cutting Nick off you snapped again. "You don't know what he would want."

A tense silence fell over the group.

"You..You picked a good spot to come." One of the unknown men spoke. "I'm Bucky."

Frowning you attempted to ignore him.

"What do you think you're doing?" Nick hissed.

Placing a firm hand on Nick's chest, Steve stopped Nick.

"I think we should let him do whatever it is he's going to do...Maybe he can get through to her."

Slowly he moved towards you.

"Mind if I join you?"

You shook your head.

Climbing up he joined you on the hood of the car, leaning back against the windshield he gazed at the stars. The feeling of security and comfort washed over you. Without realizing your motions, you had joined him in leaning back against the windshield. Raising his arm he pointed towards the sky.

"That is 'Orin's Belt,'." He stated.

Looking at the sky, you frowned realizing you couldn't see the constellation. Bucky seemed to notice. Sliding over his shoulder was pressed against yours, following his direction, you were able to see it. Minutes passed by as hours. Bucky continued pointing out constellations along with their names and origins.

"How do you know so much about constellations?" You inquired.

He shrugged. "It gives me something to do when I can't sleep."

You hummed in response.

"So, will you answer you phone will I call in the morning?" Nick questioned with raised eyebrows.

Rolling your eyes, you smiled and nodded your head."Yes, but you can thank Bucky for that." You motioned towards him.

"It was nice to see you again, Y/N." Steve mumbled into the hug.

Smiling you agreed. "It was nice to meet you, Bucky."

Heat rose in your cheeks, once you were able to glance at what he actually looked like. Your hands began to sweat, as you tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. Bucky unconsciously mirrored your actions, as he gazed at his feet. Pulling into your garage, you let out a content sigh. Just as you were about to leave, there was a soft 'Clink.' Turning around, there was a part underneath the car that had fallen. Getting your creeper seat, you slid underneath the car.

Before, your father died, he had taught you everything he knew about cars. Being the girly-girl you were, you also knew how to fix a car. Ultimately, that made it hard for you to get a date since most of the men you went out with, didn't like the fact that you knew more about cars then they did. Moving the flashlight around, you saw what looked like a face. A soft gasp, involuntarily fell from your lips. The eyes from the so-called face flew open with luminous aqua color. Metal clanking together, filled the air as you gazed above you watching your car assemble by itself. Standing up, you gazed at the towering metal figure in front of you.

"Bumblebee?"
