Shin Ryujin is a successful solo artist, best known in her home country, South Korea.
Hwang Yeji is her new manager, who happens to also be Ryujin's ex girlfriend.
He met Yeji during one of his parents' parties. The ones they would throw occasionally for their business partners and friends. Yeonjun was always expected to attend, although, he would rather be anywhere else.
His parents introduced him to a new family. One he hadn't met yet.
Since he was expected to follow on his fathers footsteps and eventually inherit their company, they would always make sure to introduce him to all the families who either had business with them, or were relevant.
That's when he and Yeji first saw each other.
Neither of them wanted to be there. Neither of them looking particularly happy.
They ended up sneaking away from the party and talking all night until she had to leave.
Yeji was younger, but not much. Only about a year. She was going to a college near his. The same one Ryujin had just been accepted to. She was fun.
It was good to have someone to talk to during those events. That's why he gave her his number. So they could become friends.

Ryujin was his best friend since her mother had one day brought her to his house. Since then, they were inseparable.
He was almost two years older but it didn't matter. Even back then. They just got along.
