Chapter six

"Alright you've been in and out all day what's wrong" Devyn says I look at her then at Kat "nothing" I say "not buying it" she says I give her this look "Kat back me up" she says I look at Kat "sorry but she's right you've been off since you walked into class late this morning" Kat says I look between them should I tell them they are my best friends and my sister "ok fine" I say I lean against the lockers "I talked to Colby about play both in both worlds" I say Devyn looks at me shocked Kat also looks at me Shocked "so we have someone on the inside" Kat says I nod "pretty much with him being in Ryder's inner circle it basically means he can deliver information that might be useful" I say "how do we know we can trust him" Devyn says Kat looks at me I shrug my shoulders "I don't know I feel like I can he doesn't seem that bad" I say wait did I just say that oh my god I just said that Devyn and Kat look at each other "someone's got a crush" Devyn says I look at her "no I don't" I say looking at both of them I mean he's cute like super cute and those eyes don't even get me started they are like an ocean blue and when I look into them it just I don't know its like I get lost in them and I feel safe around him I feel like I can trust him oh my god I don't "you totally do just admit it" Kat says I look at her I shake my head but I can't ignore it I can't get his image out of my head oh my god I like Colby Brock not I think I'm Falling for him "that look says it all" Devyn says I look between them "I don't think I just like him" I say They look at each other then at me "Tessa I think your—" Devyn starts to say "I'm falling for him" I say finishing it for her Kat hugs me I hug back "please don't tell anyone" I say "I won't we won't" she says I pull away "oh this stays between us" I say "no one can know about this any of it" I say they nod "ok we won't tell anyone" Devyn says I nod "thank you now shall we get to class" I say "we shall" Kat says we walk to class.

Skip to the end of the day

So we are currently at the dinner in our normal booth I can't keep thinking about earlier he just keeps popping up in my head "Tessa" Noah says I look at him "hm" I say "are you in" he says I look at them confused "we are throwing a party at my place" Noah says "my parents are out of town so why not" he says I nod "ya I'm in" I say I could use a distraction right now Kat looks at me with this look I look at her and give her this little smile "you ok" Brennen whispers in my ear "ya I'm fine" I say and look at him he looks at me like he's not convinced "you know you can tell me anything right" he says I nod "ya I know but I swear I'm not hiding anything" I say he nods "ok" he says still not convinced we continue to talk about random things.

We all soon leave I get in my car and drive home I pull into the drive way and turn my car off and get out I go in and go up to my room "Sam said Colby already agreed to it" Kat says I nod "I know he already told me something that I don't know I think Ryder might know I have the serial killer genes" I say she looks at me "which is why I am taking you to a doctor tomorrow so we can find out" she says "um ok" I say a little hesitant "don't worry it will be fine" she says I nod "ok fine" I say she nods "I'm going to bed now goodnight Tessa" she says "night" I say I close my door and go lay in bed and fall right to sleep.

"Tessa" someone says shaking me "tessa" she says again shaking me harder I groan "what" I mumble "come on or we are going to be late" Kat says I sit up and look at her "late for what" I say she gives me this look right forgot about that "now get your pretty little ass out of bed" she says I roll my eyes she leaves and I decide to just change into ripped jeans and a black crop hoodie (outfit up top) I go to my bathroom and brush through my hair and I leave it in its wavy form I then do light make up I then spray on some of my peach perfume I then go and slip on my checkered vans I take one last look in the mirror then I grab my phone and go downstairs.

"Just so you know we might be late to school" Kat says as I walk in "why" Tyler says I look at her and shake my head "um just cause" she says Brennen gives me this look "then can we come with" Brennen says "no" I say way to fast Kat nudges my shoulder "no you can't because it's just a sister thing ok now shut up with all the questions and Kat let's go" I say she nods and we leave we get in her car and head to the doctors office.

"Why can't we just tell them" Kat says I look at her "we will soon but the whole Colby thing still stays between us" I say she nods "ok just promise me you will be careful" she says I nod "ya I will" I say she smiles she turns up the music and we jam out all the way there.

We pull up and we go in I check in and we wait what if I really do what then I just live with the fact I can kill people and enjoy it ya no thanks "Tessa Stuart" a nurse calls I get up and follow the nurse back "ok I am just going to take a sample of your blood ok" she says I nod she sticks a needle in my arm and she takes some she pulls it out and puts a band aid on it "I will go get this tested and I will be right back" she says I nod I lean back against the chair my phone starts to vibrate "hello" I say "hey where are you" Colby says "um I'm with Kat why" I say "I need to tell you something and it's urgent" he says before I can say anything the doctor comes in I hang up quickly "hi I'm doctor Blackburn" she says we shake hands "you are in perfectly good help but your blood work came back positive for these genes known as the serial killer genes"
