Chapter nineteen

I wake up to Colby not there I sit up "Colby" I say "relax I'm right here" he says as he comes out with no shirt just underwear and pants I look him up and down "like the view" he says smirking I look away "no" I say and look away he starts to come over I look back over at him he's now closer "you look hot in my hoodie" he whispers as he's now on top of me his wet hair is dripping "you really wanna do this now" I say he leans in closer "maybe" he says I lean in "maybe later" I whisper and push him away "that's mean" he says I shrug my shoulders "oh well deal with it" I say he rolls his eyes I go and pick out some clothes "oh this hoodie is mine now" I say as I peak out the bathroom door I looks at me "knew that was coming" he says I smile innocently "you love me anyway" I say as I close the door "whatever" he says I chuckle I take the hoodie off and lay it on the sink I start the water and get in I wash after I am dome I get out dry off and put on black ripped jeans and a yellow crop top I then blow dry and do waves in my hair after I am done I do my make up after I am done with that I go to the room and put on my yellow vans (outfit up top) I then grab my phone and go downstairs.

I walk in the kitchen to Kat cooking "Are you cooking" I say she looks at me "yep it's my turn to serve you" she says I roll my eyes and go fix me a cup of coffee "ya ok" I say "it can't be that bad" Tara says "oh it's bad" me and Devyn says Kat glares at us "kidding" I say and take a sip of my drink "hm" she says and goes back to cooking "woah she's cooking" Sam says as he walks in "shut up" she says he raises an eyebrow I notice Colby isn't here "where's Colby" I say and look at Sam "I don't know he was just behind me" Sam says I nod "you are going to eat before anything" Kat says and hands me a plate of pancakes and bacon I take a bite "woah this is actually edible" I say and take another bite she smiles "wow" Devyn says as she takes another bite "see I ain't that bad" Kat says I chuckle and finish eating I go put my plate in the sink "so are we just not going to go out" Jake says "pretty much with Tessa is basically a target we need to keep her safe" Kat says I look at her "I don't need saving" I say she gives me this look they all do "let's see you got kidnapped they tortured you and oh let's not forget you got shot in the stomach while trying to save your lover so therefore don't say you don't need any protection" Kat says and looks at me "wow you got a point" I say she nods and looks back at the others Colby comes in he comes over and pecks my lips "cute but let's get to the Chase you three basically are targets for a mafia that apparently wants you dead and you two to join" Tara says referring to me Brennen and Colby I look at her "your point is" Brennen says I look at him he seems on edge Colby seems off so did Sam earlier "my point being exactly we need a plan or something" Tara says I look at her "we kill them there problem solved" I say they look at me "what if we set up a trap" Colby says I look up at him "that could work" Kat says I look back at them "so we set a trap and it fails what then we run again no we are going to end this we either kill them or we don't" I say and look at them all "we can use Tessa as bait" Tara says Colby Glares at her "we are not using Tessa for anything" he says she looks at him "they want her more so why not" Tara says I look at her "I said no" he says I look up at him he doesn't look at me "alright fine" Tara says and leans back in her chair I look back at the others we continue to talk about things.

Colby seems off since he left the room this morning Sam and Brennen do too Brennens on edge and Sam is just hiding something I need to figure out what it is before things get worse.

We are currently all in the living room watching a movie "hey what's up with you" I say and look up at him he looks at me confused "you've been acting off since this morning" I say "I can't tell you" he says I lay my head back down "I want to but I can't it's for your own protection" he whispers and kiss the top of my head "ya that's what everyone says" I say and get up and go to the room I close the door and go sit on the couch that's in there I put on headphones and play one of my moms tracks I get her songbook and start to hum the songs.

Colby's POV
I watch her walk upstairs "woah what's her problem" Jake says Sam and Brennen look at me I sit up and run a hand through my hair "what did you say to her" Kat says I look at her "nothing" I say she gives me this look I look at Sam and Brennen "ok what the hell is going on" Kat says looking between them I groan "they called" I say everyone looks at me "more specifically my dad called me while she was showering so I left and went to Sams room" I say and look away "ok what did they say" Corey says "he wanted to make a deal" Sam says I look at him "what kind of deal" Devyn says I look at Brennen and Sam they nod "our freedom for her" Brennen says "oh my god that's why you want the trap" Devyn says I nod "wait so your telling me if we give up Tessa it will give you guys your freedom" Jake says "pretty much" Sam says I look at him "sorry" he says I look away "he also said if I didn't then he would just take us out one by one" I say and look at them "that's why you didn't tell her" Kat says I nod "you half to tell her" she adds I look at her "I can't" I say she looks at me "if you don't then if she finds out the hard way you lost her for good possibly" Kat says damn it she's got a point "how do I tell her that if she goes then it will cost us our freedom from them and if not everyone one of us is dead" I say she gives me this look "just tell her go now" Kat says I groan "I'm going" I say I get up and go up to the room.

God I really hope she understands and doesn't do anything stupid I can't loose her not again.
