Colby's POV
"So what do you want to talk about" I say he looks at me "everything" he says I sit down he sits next to me "like why you ghosted me and just vanished of the face of the earth after your parents died after I specifically said I didn't know about it ya there's nothing to talk about" I say he looks at me impressed I roll my eyes "just get to the chase Brennen you want to make up because of her" I say and look away he looks away "ya and because of me look I know your mad but I don't want to make up just for Tessa I want to make up for me" he says I glance at him "alright fine I'm listening" I say still not looking at him "after we joined your parents and after we found out more about what they do they pulled me in one day threatening my family I didn't take it seriously so I told you obviously and we ran but what I didn't know was that I would walk in my home to my parents dead I was hurt so I ran I found Tessa's dad he took me in so I just ghosted everyone" he says I look at him "you know I wanted out of it just as bad that doesn't change anything we both ran and went opposite directions but that doesn't change the fact you could of texted or called every now and then" I say he looks at me "I know but I didn't I thought I was done with them but I guess not" he says and looks away "I know me too but for Tessa's sake and I guess your sake I forgive you" I say he looks at me "seriously" he says I nod "ya" I say we bro hug "but I half to say it for being Tessa's best friend you better not hurt or best friend or not I will hurt you" he says I chuckle "alright I won't" I say he nods "good now about the whole John and Miranda situation" Brennen says "Their after Tessa so—" he starts to say "wait what" I say he nods "ya they want her because of her darkness or something about that" he says he gives me this look "wait she didn't tell you" he says I shake my head "no she didn't well she told me bits and piece but not the whole thing" I say "uh ok then I will go get her and she can explain" he says he gets up "ya ok" I say he leaves I lay down on the bed and cover my face with my hands why wouldn't she tell me I mean she told me bits and pieces but we fell asleep well I think I did I don't know I was in and out all night I guess I'm about to find out.

Tessa's POV
"Ok so I might of mentioned something" Brennen says as he comes back down "like what" I say and look at him "that they want you" he says I glare at him "what" I say and clench my fist "I'm sorry it just came up" he says and grabs a piece of popcorn and eats it I groan "so you guys are friends again" Kat says he nods "ya we're good but he's going to want you to explain now" he says looking back at me "so basically you told Colby that his own parents wants his girl" Sam says he nods "why didn't you tell him anyway" Corey says I look at him "because I knew he would worry and be protective I can't have him worrying right now" I say and look away "that's the point we are all worried and we will protect you but you half to tell him" Jake says I nod "ok fine" I say "tell us how it goes" Devyn yells as I go upstairs "alright whatever" I yell back I go in the room and see him laying on the bed "so I here you and Brennen are good again" I say and sit next to him he doesn't look at me "when were you going to tell me" he says I lean against the bed frame "I was at some point" I say he looks at me "really because I had to hear it from Brennen that my parents apparently want you" he says I look down at him "they do when I was taken when I didn't except their offer John held a knife to my throat threatening to kill me even if it hurt you he didn't care I looked dead in his cold eyes there no hope for him or your mother their both murderous assholes that want me to join them but here the catch they want me to join because one of my darkness and two they think you will come back" I say he looks away "wait he threatened you" he says looking back at me "ya but I'm fine" I say he shakes his head "you got shot" he says I look away "I got shot trying to save you which FYI you were barely breathing because your dad got angry and shot you shot you out of anger Colby if I would of just agreed then you wouldn't of got shot" I say he looks at me "you didn't want to tell me because you didn't want to explain that part" he says I don't say anything instead I get up and go out on the balcony and look out at the ocean "your blaming yourself for what happened to me" he whispers I bite my lip trying not to cry I soon feel arms wrap around me "it's not your fault" he whispers as he lays his head on top of mine "none of this is your fault" he adds I don't say anything "I almost lost you that was the worst feeling ever I can't even bare the thought of you wouldn't of made it" I say he's quit for a bit "you know what you would of done" he says "you would of got revenge then you would fall apart knowing that I wasn't their but I would want you to move on to be happy" he says I chuckle "I wouldn't fall apart I would probably give in to the darkness and become a emotionless bitch" I say he chuckles "you probably would but let's not think of that" he says I lean against him he leans down to my ear "I love you too" he says I look up at him "what" I say and turn around he looks at me "I heard every single word you said to me in the hospital" he says "right" I say and lean in closer "well speaking of that" I say and kiss him "I love you" I say as I pull away he smirks a little "wha—" I start to say but he lifts me up I wrap my legs around him he kisses me I wrap my arms around his neck I soon feel something soft under me I think you can imagine what happens next.
