Chapter sixteen

I wake up to gunshots being fired "Tessa" I hear a voice "I'm in here" I yell trying to struggle to get loose Brennen burst through the door along with Kat "hi little sis" she says "get me out of here" I say they come and untie me I pick up gun from the guard "I'm going to go kill him" I say but Kat stops me "Colby first then Ryder" she says I look at her "fine" I say we go down the hall "here" Brennen says I run toward him he knocks the door open "Colby" I say and run over "Tessa" he breaths out I nod "it's me I'm here" I say he looks at me "I thought—" starts to say "save your energy" I say and finish untying him "Brennen help me" I say he comes over and helps me "tunnels Sam is waiting" Kat says as we walk out in the tunnels we make it out and lay Colby in the back "we need a hospital" Kat says as she gets in "I'll gather everyone and meet you there" Brennen says I nod I get in and Sam drive to the nearest hospital I lay his head on my lap "your going to be ok" I say he looks at me "I half to tell you something" he breaths out "tell me later you need to save your energy" I say "I lo—" he starts to say but his eyes starts to close "no stay with me" I say "Sam hurry up" Kat says Sam speeds up "I love you too" I whisper and kiss his forehead Sam pulls into the hospital he gets out and carries him in "we need a doctor" he yells they come out and put him on a gourney "how long has he been out" the doctor says "I don't know a couple minutes" Sam says he nods they take him back "your bleeding" Kat says I look down and see I got shot in my leg "I'm fi—" I start to say but darkness takes over.

I wake up and look around I'm in a hospital bed no I need to get to Colby "Your up go find the doctor" Kat says Devyn gets up and leaves "Colby still hasn't woke up Sam and the others are with him as we speak" Kat says I take a deep breathe "hi I'm dr. Blackburn" the doctor says we shake hands "we got the bullet out you lost a lot of blood and you have a concussion so these next few weeks take it easy while your stitches heal up" he says I nod "can she be released" Devyn asks "I will half to check a few things" the doctor says he does that "ok everything seems healthy and working right I will get a nurse in here with your discharge papers and to take the iv out" he says I nod he nods and leaves "Colby has a concussion a stab in the leg and a bullet wound in the stomach he lost a lot of blood" Brennen says I look at him "it's true his parents are behind it all they want me to join them because of my darkness and when I said no John didn't take it to well so he must of went and shot Colby out of anger damn it this is all my fault" I say whispering the last part "it's not your fault this happened" Kat says I look at her "promise me you won't blame yourself" she says "I promise" I say she nods "good" she says I chuckle a nurse soon comes in and takes the iv out I sign the release papers "ok sweetie you are good to go" she says "thanks" I say she nods "take it easy" she says I nod she leaves "here I picked out ripped jean shorts and a black tie dye cropped shirt" Devyn says I take the clothes "thank you" I say I slowly get up and walk slowly to the bathroom god I'm so sore I hate it I close the door and change into normal clothes I look in the mirror damn I look like shit I throw my hair in a messy bun and I splash water in my face I look back "ok decent enough" I say I go out I sit on the bed Kat hands me my vans I slip them on I get up "woah easy there" Brennen says as he catches me I wrap an arm around him "got up to fast" I say "let's go see Colby" Kat says we walk out and go to Colby's room we go in "guess who" Kat says "your ok" Sam says and comes over and hugs me "ya I have a concussion and a stitched up bullet wound" I say we pull away I look at Colby "he hasn't woke up they say he lost a lot of blood but he's stable" Sam says I nod "we will give you two space" Tara says they leave I go over and sit in the chair next to him "hey I know you probably can't hear me but if you can I want you to know that I need you majorly your my world my everything my other half I miss you I miss your smile I miss looking in those ocean blue eyes of yours what I'm about to say next i had to have my dead father to tell me something only to realize that I don't need to run anymore and I need to move on but I can't do that without because I love you" I say "I love you and I always will that's why you need to wake up" I say I grab his hand in mine "come back to me to us and to everyone else" I say I get up and kiss his forehead I start to leave but I feel his hand move "Tessa" he says I look at him I start to tear up I bite my lip "come here" he says and makes room for me I go and lay next to him and I kiss him he kisses back "don't scare me like that again please" I say pulling away "I won't" he says and kisses me again he winces "oops" I say he chuckles "maybe not right now" he says I nod agreeing I lay my head on his chest he starts to play with my hair "mind telling me what happened to you" he says I look up at him "I got drugged by Noah and I ended up in a dark room with Ryder he threw a punch I threatened him then I—oh I met your parents nice people" I say sarcastically he looks at me like seriously "what did they want" he says and lays his head on top of mine "I found out that Ryder's been working with your parents all along because they want me" I say "well we will figure it out later" he says I nod "alright" I say we soon fall asleep.
