Chapter thirty one

"Uh oh someone's in a good mode" Noah says as I walk in "can I not be in a good mode or something" I say as I grab a bowel and pour some cereal in it and milk "I'm not saying that" he says I give him this look "spill" Taylor says I look at her "what is there to spill" I say as I take a bite she gives me this look "what I'm serious" I say "there's something you want to tell us" Madison says I look at her "um no" I say but I smile a little "oh my god" Taylor says excitedly I pull them in the hall "did he" Taylor says I nod they squeal "ok keep it down" I say "so when is the date" Madison says "tonight" I say "we are helping you get ready and we are not taking no for an answer" Taylor says "ok I wasn't going to say no" I say "I've been rooting for you two since day one" Madison says I roll my eyes "let's get back to the others shall we" Taylor says I nod and we go back in I finish my food and set the bowl in the sink Jordan walks in I look at him "do we like have a plan or something on how we are going to do this" Cole says I lean against the counter "I say we just go with the flow" Madison says I nod agreeing "knowing my father if I confront him then he will run again get a new identity and then we are back to square one" I say "she's right we need to play this carefully once we have more information on him then we will make our move but until then just act like it's a normal day at school" Jordan says I look at him "alright keep low" Noah says I look at him "we better get going" madison says I nod agreeing "let's go then your riding with me" Jordan says I look at him "I can drive myself" I say "do you have your car" he says damn it he's got a point we haven't gotten my car yet still so I've been riding with Jordan "that's what I thought" he says I sigh and follow him to his car I get in he gets in after me and starts it and we head to school.

He pulls into the parking lot he parks and we get out soon everyone else pulls in and they park and get out he locks his car "let's not draw attention to ourselves" I say as we start to walk in we walk through the doors and all eyes are on us "so much for not drawing attention" Taylor whispers I nod "but once we get this done we won't half to come back here" I say guys are looking at me then girls are looking at Jordan of course they would why wouldn't they "hey isn't that Kat" Madison says I look "shit it is" I say "she isn't that bad looking" Cole says I glare back at him Madison smacks his arm we walk past them and we go our separate ways to class "I made sure to have all my classes with you" Jordan says I nod "ya ok" I say "hey what's wrong" he says stopping me I turn around and look at him "nothing" I say and shake my head I start to turn back around but he grabs my hand stopping me he gives me this look "seeing them in the hall just a little bit ago it made me think I might be the one betraying them" I say he looks at me "your not your the one that's saving them you are protecting them ok" he says I nod "ok" I say "ok let's get to class" he says we continue walking to class we go in and sit in the back the class starts the looks on their faces when I walked in I still can't help but think am I the one betraying them I don't know but I just hope we can get this done quick.

I am walking to my second to last class which is the one class I've been dreading all day my fathers class Jordan would meet me there he went to see if he could find more information I get pulled into an empty class room "what the fuck" I say and look at the person "Brennen" I say he looks at me "just say it" I say and cross my arms I lean against the desk "why the hell haven't you called" he says "there it is" I say he rolls his eyes "don't stall Tessa" he says I sigh "I haven't called because I don't need any distractions ok I know what I'm doing inc I get an advantage I will take but right now I haven't got that shot" I say he rolls his eyes "don't you think I can't see you've changed you haven't called you broke up with Colby with Colby the person you loved which by the way if your even wondering he's not doing so hot he's starting to go out Tessa he's going to bars getting waisted but it looks like you moved one" he says I look at him "I broke up with him because I knew it would protect him I knew if I wasn't in his life he would be ok he would be safe" I say he shakes his head "he's not he's hurting bad it's getting worse we had to move him back into the house" Brennen says I look at him "what you realize that's risky right John could find out he's not actually dead" I say and shake my head "Brennen you don't understand John has eyes everywhere it's risky right now talking to you if he figures out Colby isn't dead then there goes my cover" I say he shakes his head "you aren't even their anymore Tessa you won't call or text any of us" Brennen says I roll my eyes "fine let John figure out that Colby's not dead then the next time he comes after you or Colby then it's on me every time blood sheds it's always in me so I'm sorry if I'm trying to protect you" I say I start to walk out "Tessa" he says "goodbye Brennen" I say and slam the door shut and I go to class I walk in "hey where were you" Jordan says "I'll explain later" I say he nods "alright" he says the bell rings and a man walks in I look "it's him" I whisper we make eye contact I roll my eyes and lean back and he starts to teach.

It's actually him my father is actually here alive.
