I love you

Kitty's pov
I was trying to fall asleep but it just wasn't happening. Cathy. Cathy was on my mind and I couldn't sleep, we've been in a relationship for five months now and we haven't said 'I love you' yet. I mean I wanted to say it but I don't know what love feels like, I've never been in a relationship where I loved someone, maybe I should talk to Jane. I stood up and looked at the clock. '12:00 am' it read, Jane was probably still up, she likes to read. I ran to her door and knocked on it.
"Come in!" I heard her say and I opened her door. "Kitty what are you doing up? You are normally asleep by 10:00." Jane says
"Jane, can I ask you a question?" I ask and she nods her head, I sit on her bed and pulled my knees up to my chest. "How do you know. How do you know if you-" why can't I say love. "How do you know if you l- I'm so sorry I don't know what's going on." I say
"Are you trying to ask 'how do you know if you love someone?" She asks and I nod my head "well... it's- it's kinda hard to explain. Tell me about what you feel when your with who ever it is you're talking about." She says
"When I'm with Cathy, it feels like I could do anything, like the world or everything would freeze and I'd be fine. She makes me feel like I'm floating on air all the time, she makes my heart flutter and I can feel butterflies in my stomach. When I'm around her I'm always smiling. Cathy is like my everything, if she got taken away from me, I probably wouldn't be able to do anything." I say
"KitKat. I think you're in love." She says. I start to get scared.
"But what if she doesn't feel the same way, or what if I mess up and ruin everything. What if-" Jane cuts me off
"Stop focusing on the what if's and more on the she will. She will feel the same way, Kat everyone messes up at some point and there's nothing you can do to stop that. And, if I'm some twisted way Cathy doesn't feel the same then she's missing out, because you are a beautiful, smart, kind, talented woman Kat, and if she can't see that then she's blind," she says and I hug her
"Thank you." And she hugs me tighter, "I'm gonna try to go fall back asleep"
"Okay night Kat." And I wave bye. I shut her door and instead of going to my room, I go to Cathys room, I open her door to see she was writing, as usual.
"Hi babes"
"Hi Cathy." I say back
"What are you doing here?"
"I couldn't sleep and I wanted cuddles." I say and grab one of her sweatshirts and lay down on her bed. She stops writing and walks over and kisses me. I smile into the kiss, "Cathy." I say, here goes nothing.
"Yeah"
"I love you." I say
"I love you too." She says and I look at her shocked
"Really?" I ask
"Yeah." I smile and she gets behind me and peppers kisses on the back of my neck. I giggle, "goodnight Kat"
"Night Cathy." I say and we fall asleep.

This was short but it was cute. I honestly had no idea how to write this part so I just wrote what came to mind, next one I'm gonna write KatAnna for the first time so, yayayayay. Byeeeeeeeee
