New Student

Hello you mini tortules (I gonna call you guys dat now) dis is for ze people who want ze parrward. For dis one shot (not shit. I'm looking at you Shadow) Kat gonna wear glasses because I CANNNNN.

Kat POV
I walked inside after school, Anne was walking close behind me. "Kat, did you hear?" She asks and I shake my head,

"Hear what" I ask taking a strawberry from a bowl on the counter

"Kat, I was using those to make desert," Mama says and I give her finger guns and a sorry face.

"Sorry Mama, I didn't know" I say and she kisses my head and then Anne's

"It's alright just ask" she says and I nod, Anne pulls out a pencil from behind my ear.

"So anyway what's going on?" I ask and Anne smiles

"A new kids coming to school next week," Anne says and I gasp

"Really?" I ask and she nods, it was rare for there to be a new student at Tudor High, we live in a small town so it was kinda rare for there to be anyone new.

"Yeah, I bet they're gonna ask you to give them the tour." Anne says and I groan,

"I don't want to thoughhhh" I whine and Anne giggles,

"Why don't you guys start on your homework," Mama says and I pull out my math and sit at the table.

20 minutes later
I finished some of my math and had started working on history. Mama had went to go get Joan from the elementary, I walk to the freezer and grab a popsicle. "Kat why are you eating when we're about to eat dinner?" Anne asks and I shrug,

"Because I felt like it" I say and Anne nods.

A few moments later
Joan walks in the house and I smile and she gives me a small wave. "Hi Annie, Hi Kitty" Joan says and I wave, she runs to me and hands me a picture. "Look, I did what you taught me and now I can draw an eye" she says and I smile and ruffle her hair and in response she moves her head away from me. "Kaaaat!" She whines and I giggle,

"Good job Joan. What do you want to learn how do now?" I ask and she shrugs,

"I don't know" she says and sits next to Anne.

Later that night
I was sitting in my room playing guitar, something I did when I wasn't busy. I set my guitar down and walk to my window and look out it, I run downstairs and smile at Mama who was watching a movie with Anne and Joan. "Hey Kat" Joan says and I wave at her and put on my shoes. "Where are you going?" She asks smiling, her eyes were full of joy and happiness and hope.

"I don't know, somewhere" I say and Joan looks at me curious

"Where's somewhere?" She asks,

"Somewhere" I say and she smiles,

"Can I go?" Joan asks and I nod

"If you want," I say and she looks at Mama.

"If you guys are going ehh don't we go too" Mama says and I nod

"Sure" I say and push up my glasses. Anne grabs her skateboard and hands me it,

"You have to ride this," she says and I take it and run out the door.

10 minutes later
I giggle and Joan races me to the pole and back, Anne was on her skateboard and Mama was just watching. "Kat! That's not fair! You have longer legs than I do!" Joan shouts and I laugh, and sit down, I push my glasses up and saw someone I didn't know, she was absolutely gorgeous. She had curly brown hair and these brown eyes that I immediately got lost in, and her smile was small but it was cute. "Kat! Katherine Seymour!" Joan says snapping her fingers in front of my face,
