Tw: swearing
Mary is 8, Lizzie is 7, Edward is 5, Mae is 2. I'm doing this so I feel better about writing mean Jane, when I write mean Jane.
Jane POV
I sit down next to Catherine on the couch, she wraps her arms around me and I felt safe. She kisses my head and Anne turns the lights off, "what movie are we watching?" I ask
"A dogs purpose." Kat says, I sigh knowing she's gonna be crying from all the dog deaths. Catherine grabs a blanket and pulls it over us, she moves so that we were both laying down. Anne starts the movie and I close my eyes, I was so tired. I didn't sleep good at all last night because I kept having flashback like dreams to when I had given birth to Edward and the pain, then dying. I open my eyes and saw Edward waving at me. I jump back and sit up, Catherine following my actions.
"Jane? Jane what's wrong?" She asks concerned
"I-I. D-do you see that?" I ask
"See what?" I turn around and look at her
"Edward. He's right there," I say and I turn around, he's not there
"Love, Edwards not there." Catherine says and I sigh sadly
"H-he was right there though." I whisper, I let a tear fall and she hugs me. She picks me up and takes me upstairs. "Catherine I saw him. I know I did." I say and she shakes her head 'no'
"I know you think you did, but I don't think you did." She says
"But he WAS right in front of me. He waved at me. H-he was smiling" I say, she just hugs me and I cry into her shoulder.
"Jane, I don't think he was there." She says
"Then where is he? I just want to see him and hold him." I say and she holds me closer, she whispers sweet things in my ear and I calm down to the sound of her voice. She gets in my bed and lays down next to me, I turn and face her, she wipes away my tears and kisses me.
"I don't know where he is. I want to know where Mary is too. I just want our kids back with us." She says and I snuggle into her chest, she runs her fingers through my hair making me sleepy "if you're tired go to sleep." She says and I yawn
"Will you stay with me?" I ask and she nods.
2 months later
Me and Catherine we here on a walk. Today was one of those days where you just miss your kids. I held her hand and she smiles at me, I make a weird face and she laughs, she gives me one, I laugh. I hear kids screaming "MAMA! MAMA!" Me and Catherine stop walking and look in the direction
"Is that-" I start
"Mary." Catherine says, a little girl and boy, both with red hair running towards us. The girl was holding a toddler
"Edward." I mumble, Mary sets the toddler down and jumps into Catherine arms, they both start crying. I run towards Elizabeth, "hi Lizzie." I say
"Where my mommy?" She asks, I pick Edward up.
"She's at home." I say and kiss Edwards hair, I walk towards the toddler and pick her up, "and you must be Cathys little girl." I say and Catherine walks over,
"I swear to god if I'm dreaming I'm not coming out of my room for a month." She says and I laugh, I wipe away my tears
"We gotta call the girls." I say and hand Mae to her, I take out my phone. It rings for a second
"Hello." Anne answers
"Get your asses to the park." I say covering Edwards ears
"Holy- Jane since when do you say ass?" She asks
