Kat POV
I open my eyes to see Cathy typing on her computer. "Hi," she says and I give her a small wave,
"Morning." I whisper and I sit up, "I'm gonna go eat. You want anything?" I ask and she shakes her head.
"No," she says and goes back to writing.
I walk downstairs and saw Anne half asleep at the table and Catherine making pancakes. "Can I have some?" I ask and Catherine looks at me,
"Yeah. Annie, Love, wake up." Catherine says snapping her fingers in front of Anne's face,
"I need cuddles!" Anne whines and Catherine shakes her head,
"In an hour or two-"
"Wha- You said 2 minutes not hours!" Anne shouts and Catherine giggles and pecks Anne's lips. I gag,
"Ew!" I exclaim and Catherine glares
"Whatever," Catherine says and continues to cook the pancakes and I sit next to Anne and talk to her.
10 minutes later
I walk upstairs and into my room. Cathys not on here. Weird. I walk over and peak in her bedroom door to see her writing on her notebook. I smile and sit on her bed, "what do you want to do today?" I ask, we had nothing planned to do and Jane and Anna (JANNNAAAAA) were on a trip.
"Nothing, go away." Cathy says and I roll my eyes,
"I'll take that as an 'Cuddle me please. I love you KitKat'" I say and hug Cathy, she whines and try's to push me away.
"Kat! Stop I need to write!" Cathy exclaims and I shake my head.
"No, you need to cuddle with me." I whisper in her ear,
"No. I need to write, I can cuddle with you later." Cathy says and I let go of her and pick her up. "KAT! Put me down!" Cathy screams and I shake my head,
"Nope." I say and lay her down on her bed, she tries to escape and run back to her desk and I wrap my arms around her waist pulling her back to the bed.
"Kaaaaaatttttt," Cathy whines and I giggle forcing Cathy to lay down.
"Caaaatttthhhhyyyyy," I whine back and Cathy flicks my arm. "Ow!" I exclaim and Cathy tries to get out of my arms by rolling over to face me and I kiss her which makes her stop. I pull away and Cathy smiles,
"Let me write." She says and I shake my head.
"No," I whisper and I cuddle into her.
"Kat! Stooooppppp!" Cathy whines and I sit up letting her go.
"Nope! I'm taking you out!" I exclaim and Cathy whines,
"KitKat! I have to write!"
"You've been writing since 4:00-"
"3:30 actually." Cathy says and I groan,
"-3:30 this morning! Take a break and we can go get ice cream or something." I say and walk over to her closet grabbing her favorite summer dress. I hand it to her and she glares at me, "stop glaring at me! You'll thank me later!" I exclaim and walk out of her room to go get dressed.
1 hour later
I giggle as Cathy tries to convince me to go home. "Catherine Marie Parr, for the last time I'm not taking you home!" I exclaim and she whines,
"But I nee-"
"You need to write, I know you've told me a thousand times in the past 30 minutes. Just let me take you somewhere. It's special to me," I say and Cathy sighs,
"Fine. But then we are going home!" Cathy exclaims and I take her hand and start walking to the place.
A few moments later
I move some of the tree branches and it leads to a secret place. I found it when I was younger, when I just wanted to get away from everyone. "Woah," Cathy says and looks around. "How'd you find this?" She asks and I sit down, it had the perfect view of the sunset and the sunrise and the beach.
"When I was 10 I wanted to just get away from everything and everyone, so I came to the beach and I saw some rocks with a very small place where you could peak in. So I climbed up the hill right there-" I say and point "-then since I'm tiny I climbed through and found where we walked in and ever since I've made it my place."
"So this is where you go when someone makes you mad," Cathy says and I nod. Cathy sits down next to me and I watch as family's play around.
"C-can I tell you something?" I ask and Cathy nods,
"I really really really want a family with you, a-and one day I think I'm gonna marry you." I whisper and Cathy smiles, she hugs me tightly and pulls something out of her pocket.
"Well I was actually just thinking about that yesterday." Cathy says and I pull away to see a ring in her hand, I gasp. "And I guess now would be the time to ask if you, Katherine Mae Howard, will marry me?" She asks and I nod,
"Yes," I say and she smiles and slips the ring on my finger.
"That's why I've been wanting to write all day. I was trying to figure out how to ask you."
"You could have performed Haus of Holbein in trash bags, had a fish on your head, and smelt like poo and I still would have said yes." I say and Cathy laughs, she kisses me and I smile into the kiss.
"I love you KitKat," she whispers and she pulls me into her lap.
"I love you too," I say.
