Anne POV
I laugh as Kat shows me a weird dance. "You're so weird!" I whisper shout and she holds out her hands out, I take them and we spin around on the dance floor. I giggle and I catch glimps of a gorgeous girl, I stop dancing and Jane runs over holding a girls hand. She smirks and starts giggling,

"Who are you looking at?" Kat asks and I blush when she looks at me, I quickly look away and back at Kat.

"I-I don't know," I whisper

"That's my best friend. Her names Catherine." Anna says and I smile.

"I'm gonna go talk to her!" Kat exclaims and gets ready to walk away, I grab her hand quickly and shake my head.

"No!" I whisper shout and Kat nods. Kat runs over to her and I watch nervously.

Kat POV
I give a small wave to Cathy who blushes, I wink and she looks away. I giggle and walk over to Catherine. "Hello," I say and she gives me a small smile.

"Hello Katherine," Catherine says and I smile.

"How do you know my name?" I ask,

"Everyone knows you and Anne and Jane." Catherine says and I look over to see Anne glaring at me, I giggle.

"Care to dance?" I ask and she nods, she holds out her hand and I take it smiling.

We dance for a little and I smile at Anne who mouths, 'She's mine. You're already going to ask Cathy to dance' Anne says and I nod,

'I know. I'm just helping you' I mouth back and look at Catherine. "Can I introduce you too someone?" I ask and she nods, I take her hand and pull her over to Anne who was talking with Cathy. "Catherine this is Anne," I say and Anne turns around.

Catherine POV
I watch as Anne turns around, I smile at her. "Catherine this is Anne. Annie this is Catherine." Kat says and I take Anne's hand and kiss it. Anne blushes and I giggle,

"H-Hi." Anne stutters and I smile,

"Hello." I say and the music starts again, I hold out my hand. "Would you care to dance with me?" I ask and Anne looks at Jane who nods and pushes her forward to me, I smile and Anne takes my hand.

"I would love too," Anne says.

A few moments later on the dance floor
Anne POV
I giggle and watch as Eliza dances with Alexander, Elizas one of my best friends. I look at Catherine and blush a little. I stumble and Catherine catches me and makes it looks as though I meant to do it. I blush and she helps me back up and we continue to dance.

2 weeks later
I giggle as Kat squeals seeing another letter from Cathy. "She sent another one!" Kat exclaims and I run over, she hands me a letter.

It says in perfect writing. I blush and open the letter.

Dear Anne,
I've been waiting to see you for so long! I've missed our time together dancing, singing. I've missed hearing your laughter and seeing your emerald green, sparkly and shiny eyes. I miss watching you smile. I'm very excited to see you again.

I smile and Jane snatches the note of my hand. "JANE!" I scream and try to get it back.

"Oh hush Anne! I'm just reading it!" Jane exclaims and giggles.

2 months later
I watch from the stairs with Jane and Kat watching as Catherine asks our father for his blessing to marry me. I take a shaky breath as my father stands up. "Be true to my darling Anne." He says and I smile and run down the stairs, Catherine holds her arms out and I jump into her arms.

"You're mine! All mine Catalina!" I whisper in her ear she giggles and spins me around.

"And you're mine Annie." Catherine says and I kiss her.

"I love you Catalina," I say and she smiles.

"I love you too," she whispers and sets me down. I run over to Kat and hug her tightly.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyou." I whisper on her ear and she starts laughing, Jane joins in the hugs and I laugh,

"Why are you thanking me?" Kat asks and I smile,

"Because if you wouldn't have introduced me to Catherine I would have never talked to her." I whisper and Jane kisses my head.

4 YEARS LATER
I giggle and hold Lizzie as Catherine tries to teach Mary how to dance. "Mama! I can't do it! I keep falling." Mary says and Catherine smiles at me,

"Y'know Mommy used to fall ALLLL the time on the dance floor?" I ask and Mary looks at me

"You did?" She asks and I nod,

"Yeah." I say and I set Lizzie in her crib, Catherine holds her hands out and I take them.

Halfway through the dance I trip over my feet and Catherine does the same thing she did the night of the ball. I giggle and so does Mary, "it's looks like you meant to do that!" Mary exclaims and I nod,

"That's your Mamas specialty." I say looking into Catherine's eyes,

"What is?" Mary asks,

"Making things look like they were meant to happen." I whisper and peck Catherine's lips, she smiles and Mary gags.

"YUCK!" Mary screams and I giggle and pick her up peppering kisses all over her face. She screeches and Catherine giggles.

MORE YEARS LATER
I sit down next to Catherine and I smile at her. "Everything happens for a reason," Catherine whispers

"Like how we just happened to end up together," I whisper and Lizzie looks around for Mary.

"Mae Mae! I gonna find you!" Lizzie exclaims and walks around, Catherine starts crying, Mary had died in a fire trying to save her best friend Philip. I hug her tightly and Lizzie walks over and pulls on my dress.

"Mama? Where's Mary?" Lizzie asks I pick her up,

"Y'know how Grandpa Thomas has to leave to go be with the angels?" I ask and Lizzie nods,

"Yeah," Lizzie says.

"Mary went with him and now she's with the angels." I say almost crying, Lizzie nods sadly.

"Oh. Well when will I see her again?" Lizzie asks,

"I'm not sure. Not soon hopefully." I say and Lizzie frowns,

"I want it to be soon. I miss Mary," Lizzie says.

MORE YEARS LATER
Catherine holds me as I cough. "Love, you should not be holding me right now. I'm very sick and I don't want you to be sick." I whisper,

"I know. But I don't care. I love you, and I'm holding you while your sick." Catherine says and kisses my head.

A FEW WEEKS LATER
Catherine POV
I sit down by Anne's grave. "Everything happens for a reason. Everything is gonna be fine and I'm gonna be able to see you again very soon Annie." I whisper holding one of her paintings.
