Cathy POV
I hold Mamas hand and she gives me a small smile. "You excited for your field trip today?" She asks and I shrug,

"I wish you could come with me." I mumble and she smiles,

"Well I'm sure you'll have soooo much fun!" She exclaims and stands in front of the school building. "I love you Cathy," Mama says and kisses my head.

"Love you too," I say and I walk into the school building.

I walk over to my locker and saw Jane standing at her locker talking to Henry. "Wanna sit with me on the bus?" He asks and I frown, I was gonna ask Jane to sit on the bus with me.

"Yeah!" Jane exclaims and she walks into the classroom with Henry following her. I put my bag in my locker and smile at a note from Mommy.

Love you lots Cathy! I can't wait for cuddle time!

I smile and walk into the classroom.

On the bus
I watch as Jane sits down next to Henry, I look around and saw that everyone had already picked someone to sit with. I look at Ms.Manser and she gives me a small smile, I sit behind her seat and look out the window. Tree, grass, school, car. I name off random things when I get bored.

I move my head and look at Jane who was laughing with Henry. "Henry! That's silly! You can't rule the entire world! Everyone gets to rule one part of the world, even if it's small." Jane says and I smile, she looks at me and I turn my head back to the window quickly.

At ze zoo
"Everyone is going to need a partner." Jane runs over to Natalie and I sigh as everyone runs to their friends.

"Ca- oh. Do- okay. Will- I guess not." I start trying to ask people to be my partner but everyone ignores me. Everyone has a partner except for me.

"Um, Cathy. Why don't you join Henry and Thomas," Ms. Manser says and I nod, I walk over to them and they glare and start talking about stuff.

I walk around looking at the zebras and Henry and Thomas look at the lions. I frown and I see Henry's mom walk up to me. "Why don't you go join the boys and look at the lions?" She asks and I shake my head,

"They said to leave them alone so that's what I'm doing." I mumble and she sighs,

"Well it's time for lunch anyway." She says and I nod, "Henry, Thomas. Time to go eat lunch." She says and starts walking away. I follow her and I see Jane laughing with Vicki.

I sit down by myself, everyone was sitting with their friends, but I don't have any so I was just sitting a little further away from some kids. I grab my note and look at it to see a bunch of hearts all over the page. I knew that Mama and Mommy did it and it made me happy.

At hooommmeee
I sit down next to Mommy and she runs her hand along my back. "How was the field trip?" She asks and I frown.

"I-it was fun," I mumble. That's not true, I hated that field trip.

"Okay now tell me the truth of how the field trip actually was." She says and I look at her, I climb into her lap and start to play with her ring.

"I don't like school," I say and she looks at me.

"Why?" She asks,

"Because I'm always chosen last. Everyone has friends and I don't. Everyone has someone to talk to and they walk on the sidewalk while I walk in the grass because no one cares about the grass just like no body cares about me." I say trying not to cry.
