Drive-in

Cathy POV
I put on my blue summer dress and my sandals, I grab my jacket and run downstairs. "Hey Cathy" Anne says and I give her a wave.

"Hello" I say smiling and I walk into the kitchen where Anna was eating Cherries

"Well you seem happy" Anna says,

"I am actually happy today. Me and Jane are going out tonight" I say and a pair of arm wrap around my waist. They give me a small kiss on my cheek, "hi Jane" I say and turn around, I smile and I wrap my arms around Janes neck, she kisses me and I smile into the kiss. Anna gags,

"Thanks guys! There goes my appetite" Anna says and takes the cherries into the living room. I giggle and Jane pecks my lips, I smile and she takes my hand.

"Soooo, where are we going?" I ask and Jane shakes her head and taps my nose,

"You can't know yet," Jane says and I whine.

"Please?" I ask

"Nope" she says and grabs some blankets.

"Can I try and guess?" I ask and she nods,

"If you want" she says and I think for a second

"The beach?" I ask and she shakes her head, Jane takes a pillow. "The movies?" I ask and she shakes her head. She puts in her shoes and grabs her jacket and opens the door, I run to her.

"Bye guys!" Jane exclaims and everyone waves to us and we drive to a mystery destination.

In the truck
"Jane where are going? I've seriously guessed everything" I say and she shakes her head,

"You obviously haven't guessed all of them because you still don't know where we're going" Jane says and I groan.

"Jaaaaaannnnneeeeee" I whine and she giggles,

"We're almost there. Just a few more minutes" she says and I sigh.

"If it's only a few minutes you should just tell me now" I say and she takes my hand and takes a right.

"You are such an impatient child" she says and I playfully smack her.

"I am not!" I exclaim and she nods,

"Yes you are. A very short, impatient child" she says and then the drive-in comes into view. I pop up in my seat,

"Are we going to the drive in?" I ask excitedly and she nods,

"Yeah" she says and I smile. Our first date was at the drive-in and also where we first met when we were both 6.

"I love the drive-in" I say and she nods

"I know, that's why I chose it." She says and I smile.

A few minutes later
We were now setting the blankets down, I jump on Janes back and she laughs and sets me down on the car, I climb to the end and Jane hands me candy. "Don't fell Kat" she says and I nod,

"I know. She'd be really mad at you if she found out" I say and she nods, she hands me the popcorn and gets in and I cuddle up to her side. She wraps her arms around me and I set the popcorn in front of us, the movie starts and Jane pulls one of the blankets over us and I smile and lay my head down on her chest. "I love you" I say and she kisses my head,

"I love you too" Jane says.

Jane POV
I fiddle with the ring in my pocket, I'm proposing to Cathy tonight and I was a little nervous but I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. So after the movies I was gonna take Cathy to the exact spot where we met which was in front of the snack stand. She was lost and I took her to my family and we helped her find hers and I guess the rest is history, we ended up in the same classes every year until we graduated.
