The universe bends uniquely. Just sometimes it has sharp edges. Some years are so much closer to the eternal darkness than others and then there I could steal so much.
Am I being greedy? Is this too much to steal?
Stealing a whole new self.
I woke up to a stack of books to my side.
“What are you looking into?” I asked Joon.
Joon looked up from his book noticing that I woke up. “Nothing. Some books I borrowed from Hoseok.”
“He doesn’t like me,” I mumbled trying to stretch my body.
“I know. For a valid reason might I add.” Neither of them agreed with my decision to charm Tae. Hoseok probably felt more responsible because he was actually present during that time, while Namjoon just heard about it. “Jungkook woke me up last night saying I should keep an eye on you,” he said questioningly.
“Yeah. Maybe I overworked myself.” I sat up. “Jungkook told me that Tae doesn’t remember who attacked him.”
He looked disapprovingly at me. “It’s noon. You haven’t had breakfast yet.”
“I’m not hungry,” I grumbled.
"Okay. If you just get me up-to-date, I’ll eat breakfast.”
He sighed, removing his reading glasses. “Nothing happened. Their memory is just as blocked. That raises more questions than it answers really.”
Being able to erase memory meant that they were someone who was in contact with both Jimin and Taehyung. That was horrible considering both of them were from very influential families, one of which governed the country and the other who looked after its treasury.
“Jimin is worried about the king, especially since Taehyung was attacked as well.” That made sense since the king wasn’t much older than they were, which might put him in the demographics that we were looking into. “Jin doesn’t want Jimin to go to the palace as the first attack proved that his life might be in danger.”
“Jin seems very protective of Jimin.”
Namjoon shrugged. “He seems much more relaxed about Taehyung running about.”
I frowned.
“Jimin is trying to get him to live here instead.”
I nodded. That definitely made more sense. I should have thought of that earlier.
“Don’t worry. He has been avoiding going anywhere alone. Usually Jin shadows him as Jimin is very recognizable.”
